Sigmund Stein induction hob. Hobs Zigmund & Shtain: induction

Today, as always, I will try to make your choice easier. If you want to buy an induction hob, I will tell you what to look for and which models included in the review can be called the best.

First of all, the very modest width catches the eye. I love that this wonderful 45cm will save you usable space. Agree, this is very important for a small kitchen, and it won’t hurt in a larger one.

Please note that with such a modest width, manufacturers only have the opportunity to place three heating elements. However, I can vouch that this number of burners is optimal.

My experience shows that during the operation of four-burner stoves in the average family, one burner remains unused or is used extremely rarely. Meanwhile, on narrow cooking surfaces you can cook up to three dishes at the same time, which will quickly feed your family. And in everyday life, all heating elements will be used equally, which indicates high efficiency device in everyday life.

  • Zigmund & Shtain– I can say one thing regarding induction hobs: assembly is carried out in factories in Italy and France. It’s interesting that the brand pays maximum attention appearance cooking surfaces. In those models that passed through my hands, I did not find any serious flaws. The good news is that overt China is not being imposed on us;
  • MAUNFELD– for me this brand remains a kind of dark horse. I did not find information about this manufacturer and country of assembly on English-language sites. I can only assume that the factories are located in Turkey, Italy, Poland, and China. There are no complaints at all regarding the build quality of the induction hobs. Only high-quality products fell into my hands.

Advantages and disadvantages

Now I want to talk about the general advantages and disadvantages that you will encounter if you buy an induction cooktop from any brand.

The advantages I see are as follows:

  • Whatever one may say, devices of this type are modern and fit perfectly into the interior. A more attractive solution has not yet been invented. Glass ceramics occupy a leading position in sales;
  • If you're used to cooking a lot, you'll appreciate the effectiveness of induction. The socket operates with high efficiency and does not waste a drop of heat on heating the air. You will immediately notice how much cooking time has decreased and how little time you have to stand at the stove;
  • I can note that you will not lose the opportunity to prepare your usual dishes. If you're looking to switch to induction from cast iron, HiLight, don't worry about not being able to make a recipe work;
  • I think all family members will easily master touch controls. However, this type also has disadvantages, which I will discuss below.

So, I will define the negative characteristics as follows:

  • the purchase of a panel may be associated with a spectrum additional expenses. Please note that induction requires the use special dishes. If you don't have saucepans with magnetized bottoms, you'll have to buy them;
  • induction hob cannot operate completely silently. In some operating modes, the so-called duty cycle begins to operate. This is not critical, but in my experience it can be annoying. Assess the sensitivity of your own ears to the perception of extraneous sounds;
  • I can’t say about the availability of induction; although the price has dropped by several thousand rubles, it can’t be called budget;
  • Please note that you will need professional installation. This will again increase the cost level.

Selection factors

Now I want to talk about how to choose the best 45 cm induction hob and help you evaluate the feasibility of the purchase.

Do you need an independent installation?

An independent type of installation allows you to effectively zone the space, distributing household appliances throughout the kitchen, focusing solely on your own convenience. However, in conditions of cramped space, such advantages are not fully realized. Of course, I'm not a designer, but I think in a 10 m² kitchen you will have to combine the panel with the oven below. Advantages of independent integration into in this case lose relevance, it is more profitable to purchase a standard stove.

Dimensions

When assessing the possibilities of installing an appliance in your own kitchen, do not lose sight of its exact dimensions. My experience shows that a few millimeters can make a difference. Also, do not neglect to read the instructions. Manufacturers indicate the installation diagram in compliance with all technical clearances and holes. This also matters for the quality installation of the device.

Power

Please note that The higher the power of the device, the higher the load on the electrical network. If you have a sea in your apartment household appliances, I advise you to calculate whether the network is capable of accepting the additional load without harming general everyday life. However, narrow panels are not as powerful as four-burner ones and can work effectively almost anywhere.

Burner type

When choosing, I advise you to look at the panel and evaluate the diameter of its burners. Manufacturers offer different variants, which expands the possibilities of choice. In addition, think about how often you cook in non-standard cookware and whether you really need additional expansion zones, double, triple circuits, etc. For example, daily cooking and using a variety of utensils makes such opportunities relevant. Otherwise, such overpayments can be called unnecessary.

Functionality

If we look at the feature set, I recommend considering the following:

  • timer- he enters basic set almost all electric hobs. However, approach this issue practically - why overpay for sound signal, if you already have a timer? And, conversely, if you don’t have one, buy a hob with a minute counter;
  • panel lock- in principle, this is very useful thing. This is due to both safety issues and reasonable household convenience. Your panel will never turn on or off accidentally, even if there are small children and cats in the house;
  • protective shutdown– an option for forgetful and absent-minded people. For example, if you often forget to turn off the iron, automatic shutdown will not harm the device at all;
  • residual heat indication– the function will help in efficiently heating food, which is nice, isn’t it? You will not spend even a kW of extra energy, which adds up to a very significant benefit over long-term operation. The residual heat indicator will easily help you in this matter. Plus, you will be warned that you should not touch the burners (for example, for cleaning);
  • automatic recognition of the diameter of dishes– I would pay for this option too. Imagine for yourself: when you use different saucepans, the power of the burner is adjusted according to the diameter. In practice, this indicates the high efficiency of the stove.

Now we will add some technical data to our review. I have grouped all the information declared by the manufacturers in tabular data, which I suggest you familiarize yourself with.

Zigmund & Shtain CIS 199.45 BX

Now it's time to turn to another model from the German manufacturer Zigmund & Shtain CIS 199.45 BX. When choosing, please note that the surface has induction heating. The advantages of this solution are obvious: you place the saucepan on the stove, then its bottom heats up, and the contents heat up from the bottom. The panel itself remains cold, therefore it is impossible to get burned on it. Water, say, or a little broth boils instantly and you don’t have to spend the whole day at the stove.

What else? I like it efficient energy consumption and this is against the backdrop of the fact that induction takes up quite a lot of resources. Forget about significant increases in electricity bills.

Let's look at the design and surface dimensions. Well, well, we see classic black color and a surprisingly compact width - only 45 cm. It’s great that you can place the device in a kitchen of any size.

There are three burners on the panel, and each of them is capable of boiling water faster than an electric kettle. This is possible thanks to Booster heating functions. Among other functionality I will note the residual heat indication, child lock and 9 heating levels. This is all that may be relevant in a modern kitchen. You don't have to worry about safety, The model is protected from overheating, overflow, and accidental start.

I can group the range of advantages as follows:

  • compact dimensions - an excellent solution for a small kitchen;
  • efficiency - I checked that you can boil a liter of water in 5 minutes;
  • clear and convenient controls - you can easily learn how to operate the touch field, and I have no complaints about the quality of the unit.

The disadvantages were as follows:

  • lack of a timer - it’s very inconvenient to cook when you have to constantly look at the clock. Eh, Germans, Germans...
  • It was this model that showed high duty cycle. The device makes noise during cooking. It's sad, but I wouldn't buy a stove like this;
  • In case of emergency, utensils for cooking will have to be purchased separately. The manufacturer recommends using stainless steel. I don't know if you can fry pancakes in your grandma's cast iron frying pan.

About the capabilities of the brand's equipment Zigmund & Shtain in the video:

Zigmund & Shtain CIS 169.45 BX

If you suddenly decide to abandon a standard electric stove, I suggest considering the possibilities of induction heating. Hob model Zigmund & Shtain CIS 169.45 BX– a classic representative of household appliances of this class. What does the famous German brand offer?

As I said, the panel has induction heating, that is, heat is transferred not to the surface of the panel, but to the bottom of the cookware, from where directly to its contents. I can say that induction takes up quite a lot of electricity, however, the Germans have foreseen this point and offer high energy efficiency. Well, that’s gratifying!

Regarding the design, I can’t identify anything specific - everything is quite boring and standard. This The model is presented in universal black color. But, the device can fit into a kitchen of any size, even though it has three burners. This is due to the modest width, which is 45 cm.

Further - all burners are quite efficient, - this means that you will quickly heat up any product or boil water. Each heating element can operate in real turbo mode. The manufacturer calls this option Booster, which means increased heating. I liked that 2 burners can work simultaneously in this mode.

The functionality is quite optimal for the needs modern kitchen. You'll get 9 heating levels, panel locking, timer with shutdown for each burner. I note that the device does not make high-pitched sounds, which is found in competing models.

You don't have to worry about operational safety. The Germans prudently introduced protection functions against accidental start, overflow, overheating, except that the panel will not protect you from an earthquake.

Circle practical advantages I'll outline it like this:

  • If we focus on practicality, pay attention to practicality, pay attention to the riot of additional options: the “Pause” function, the function of maintaining a temperature of 70°C, determining the size of the dishes, automatic power adaptation. A definite plus!
  • slider touch control - in my opinion, this is a more convenient solution compared to standard sensors;
  • I can’t overlook the excellent warranty service;
  • comprehensive functionality and security.

But what about the shortcomings?

Please note the following properties:

  • the panel is quite easily soiled, which will complicate daily care;
  • I’m a little confused by the diameter of the burners – 200 and 160 mm, respectively. It seems to me that for the bulk of standard cookware it is more advisable to use burners of 180, 145 mm.

Video review of the hob Zigmund & Shtain CIS 169.45 BX in the video:

MAUNFELD MPR PM 45I WH

MAUNFELD is a fairly young brand. It began its development only in 1998, but, I assure you, it has already gained the trust of domestic buyers. I can assure you hob MAUNFELD MPR-PM 45IWH will delight you with long-term trouble-free operation. The device will cook food perfectly, and you don’t have to worry about the safety of the process.

Among the advantages of the model, I can note the following practical features:

  • A minute cooking timer is definitely a useful functionality. It will be in demand if you are accustomed to following strict technology for preparing the product;
  • a pot diameter detector is an extremely rare thing, I tell you. If you accidentally place the wrong saucepan, the device will delicately notify you of this;
  • residual heat indicator – this option will make you forget about worries about the soup being served cold;
  • effective locking – first of all, we are talking about protection from children. A significant plus, isn't it? In addition, in case of a wet surface, all elements will automatically lock;
  • The model has a booster. This is a special accelerating unit that provides fast heating of the burners. Why is this necessary? – you can quickly prepare breakfast or dinner in case of force majeure. The booster increases power by a third and the burner cooks 2 times faster.

I can't help but note the extremely attractive design of the hob. White glass ceramics look as stylish and laconic as possible. It's kind of chic in a series of standard black and gray panels. You can handle the controls as easily as turning on the light. Just press the desired touch field button.

Well, what about the disadvantages? It couldn't have happened without them either.

I would consider the following properties to be disadvantages:

  • You may not have enough three burners to fully operate the device. Consider the volume and intensity of daily cooking when choosing;
  • I tried to dig up a lot technical subtleties on the manufacturer’s English-language website and was very surprised that there were no reviews or mentions of this household appliance on the English-language Internet, which is quite strange for such a brand. I doubt the service capabilities.

About MAUNFELD kitchen appliances in the video:

conclusions

Having analyzed a number of practical and technical properties, I can obtain definitive recommendations for choosing a 45 cm built-in induction hob. Please note that Three burners are enough for daily cooking for the average family. This is optimal and effective option for installation in a city apartment.

Savings for the thrifty

I can’t say that the review presents the cheapest narrow hob on the market, however, if you want to save money when choosing European appliances, the most affordable device will be Zigmund &ShtainCIS 199.45BX. Models are inherent general disadvantages this type of household appliances, which I cannot call critical. The device will be quite effective in everyday life. However, I want to open up wider savings opportunities for you. Check out inexpensive 3-burner induction cooktops from competing manufacturers.

Smart choice at a reasonable price

To be honest, I liked both models - Zigmund &ShtainCIS 169.45BX And MAUNFELDMPRPM 45IW.H. Despite the shortcomings found, I am sure that these hobs will perform excellently in everyday life. If you are looking for maximum functionality, I advise you to choose a product from the English brand MAUNFELD, its reliability is beyond doubt.

However, the second model can also serve good choice, and its cost is several thousand rubles lower. In the first case, you partly pay for design, limitless induction and innovation. I think it's worth it. If you're thinking about building a combination cooktop yourself, consider 2-burner gas cooktops. The Domino form factor will successfully complement induction.

And also on the material about electric hobs with ceramic tops.

Following the chronology of the appearance of types of hobs, let’s pay attention to induction devices. Induction hobs are sold everywhere, advertised in the media, and recommended by sellers. But what is an induction hob? In other words, how does this new type of heating surface work?

To answer this question you need to delve a little deeper into the theory. A regular electric burner (no matter cast iron or ceramic) heats up due to the properties of resistive heating element- spirals or tapes with a certain resistance. An incandescent lamp has a similar circuit: current is passed through a thin spiral, which turns into heat and light.

An induction hob works differently. An electromagnetic field appears in it, which heats the bottom steel utensils. Roughly speaking, an induction burner is like a microwave oven turned inside out, but with slightly different characteristics of the electromagnetic emitter.

One of the simplest and, accordingly, the cheapest induction models in the range of the manufacturer in question can be considered Zigmund & Shtain (RUB 15,900).

The width of the device is 60 cm, the glass field is black, there are no frames or bevels - the shape is extremely simple.

IN work area there are four induction burners, they are identical in pairs: two burners with a diameter of 200 mm and maximum power 2300 W and two 160 mm and 1400 W.

The first two (largest) burners boast a Booster function. This feature is now available in almost all induction cookers and hobs. The essence of the booster comes down to helping one burner to its “neighbor” - but while the booster is on, the helping burner cannot work on its own.

The very fact that there are only two types of burners on a four-zone panel tells us about the manufacturer’s attempts to unify the parts of the device and save money due to this. In our case, we lost a variety of sizes and capacities, but we got a cheap (relatively) induction panel.

The touch control panel allows you to control the operation of the device. It contains touch buttons, indicators and segment displays.

Despite the low-cost device, there is a set of options that are typical for more expensive devices: residual heat indication, overflow protection, control lock (child protection), timer shutdown. Logically, these additional functions might not exist, and no one would be surprised, since the hob in question is one of the simplest in the range.

For the money, the model looks good, but the small range of burner options is somewhat confusing and the tricky controls are a bit annoying: there are few buttons, but there are many functions, you have to get sophisticated on the keyboard, pressing, holding, and so on. But simplicity and low cost require sacrifices, so you will have to either adapt, or add money and look for a device that is more expensive and more convenient.

Zigmund & Shtain (RUB 16,600) can be considered more advanced in terms of capabilities.

It is the model already discussed above (45 cm), but has some advantages.

What is good news is that Booster is already on all burners - three out of three burners have the ability to help each other.

Despite the small number of burners, two of them were still able to be made identical: each with a diameter of 145 mm and a maximum power of 1200 W, and when using a booster - 1600 W. The remaining burner has a diameter of 210 mm and a power of 1500 W, and when the Booster function is connected, the power increases to 2000 W.

In terms of functions, nothing new has appeared: residual heat indication, child protection, shutdown in case of overflow, and so on.

You can even say that this model is made from the first one examined in the review: they simply cut the width and added a booster to one of the burners, which made it more attractive in terms of burner power options, but smaller in size.

For those who need a simple, narrow induction hob, this model is perfect. Yes, she again has tricky controls, but you can adapt.

And for those who want something more convenient to operate and something more functional, there is Zigmund & Shtain (RUB 16,700).

It is not much more expensive than the previous options, but in terms of user characteristics it is a cut above.

The width of the device is 58 cm, but it is easiest to regard it as 60 cm. There is a 12 mm chamfer (oblique cut) along the edge of the glass, and a groove runs along the front edge; it will prevent escaping food from flowing towards the user. What's sad is that there are no such grooves on the sides.

First, let's see what it has with the burners, and then we'll figure out its numerous functions. So, two burners here are the same in power, with a diameter of 150 mm and 170 mm, with a power of 1400 W. Unfortunately, there is no booster on them. Another one of the same power: with a diameter of 190 mm and a power of 1400 W. Here, however, there is already a booster function that increases the heating zone up to 2000 W. The remaining burner is the largest and most powerful, it is 200 mm in diameter, without using the Booster the power is 2300 W, and with the booster it is 3000 W.

A good set of heating zones: there are many options and, accordingly, many cooking possibilities.

The operation of the panel can be controlled by touch buttons, segment displays, indicators and a relatively new household appliances information input element - touch engine. It looks like a long touch button. To set the required power level value, you need to select a burner and move your finger across the touch slider until the required heating intensity value appears on the display. By the way, for each burner there are two heating levels: no smoothness, as in gas stoves, no, but these “steps” are located close enough that it is easy to select the desired temperature.

Each heating zone has its own timer, residual heat indicator, short-term pause function (with a return to the settings used before the pause was turned on), automatic detection of pan sizes with power adjustment, overflow protection with the exception of interference from the shadows of pot handles, shutdown in In case of overheating, maintain the temperature at 70 °C. The controls are childproof and the kit includes a scraper for cleaning the glass surface.

An excellent model at a moderate cost, simple controls with a large number of buttons and a touch slider, a variety of burners (two even with a booster), and in general the set of functions is respectable.

The development of the model just discussed was the following device: Zigmund & Shtain (RUB 18,100).

From the photograph, both panels (the previous one and this one) are very similar, but there is still an external difference - these are some patterns on the glass, as if connecting the two left burners. What would that mean? This is how the manufacturer visualized the possibility of simultaneous use of two burners as one, that is, the creation of a kind of “bridge”. This is not necessary when using regular round pots and pans, but if you decide to cook a large bird or whole fish in a casserole dish (or Dutch oven), then a “bridge” is a must.

The ability to double burners was reflected in the parameters of the heating zones themselves - they differ slightly from the previous panel discussed.

Now the two left burners, forming a “bridge”, have a diameter of 190 mm and a power of 1400 W. Another burner is 220 mm and 2300 W (3000 W with the Booster function) and the remaining heating zone with a diameter of 150 mm and a power of 1400 W (2000 W with booster).

The width of the device is still 58 cm, the same chamfer around the perimeter and a groove along the front edge.

The basic functions of this device are the same as the previous one, so we will not repeat them.

The model is good, but if you compare it with the previous one, it turns out that the additional payment for the “bridge” is almost 1,500 rubles - not so little for a small change. But, frankly, without a long heating zone in some situations it’s simply impossible.

And finally, a model that is fundamentally different from all those discussed above: Zigmund & Shtain (36,000 rubles).

The width of the device is 60 cm, the glass field is beveled 5 mm, along the front edge there is a groove for collecting liquids.

All four burners have a booster function and even a double booster (when two zones help one). The dimensions of the burners are 180x220 mm, the power of each is 2100 W, with a booster you can raise it to 2600 W, and with a double booster - up to 3700 W. Moreover, all four heating zones can be combined into a common “bridge”. It’s already clear that we have a really “strong” panel - but let’s see what its options are.

Control: touch buttons and touch sliders. Yes, exactly, not one slider, but four. This state of affairs allows you not to even think about choosing a burner to control; you just need to take and set the power where it is needed.

The model is equipped with already familiar options: a timer for each burner, pause/resume, residual heat indicators, child lock, overflow protection, and so on...

A additional functions are simply amazing: temperature maintenance at 42/70/93 °C, eco mode (heating with optimized energy consumption), timer for boiling eggs, case ventilation to avoid overheating of the device.

The device is superior in all respects to many devices on the market; today it is one of the most advanced induction panels.

Let me finish this series of articles about hobs from Zigmund & Shtain. During the study of these devices, we were able to find out that most often the indicator of quality is the price, which indicates the adequacy of the manufacturer as a whole. Naturally, there are exceptions in the form of rare or designer models, where more expensive does not mean better - but this is not an indicator in this case.

There are many reasons why people look to buy an induction cooktop. This kitchen appliance:

  • provides extremely fast heating compared to conventional built-in electrical panels, which saves energy;
  • It heats not the cooking surface, but the bottom of the pan - this makes it especially safe.

It is easy to use, as sensors are usually used for control. You can set the necessary settings with light touches of your fingers, and the set parameters will immediately appear on the display.

How to choose an electric induction cooker

If you are planning to buy an induction electric stove Be sure to take the following parameters into account:

  • number of burners;
  • the shape of the heating zones, the presence of a function that allows them to be combined;
  • slab dimensions;
  • features of the control system - as a rule, it is equipped with sensors and a digital display.
