Washers and humidifiers really have a lot in common: both types of gadgets are designed to raise the level of relative air humidity in the house.
The differences begin with the expansion of functionality - washing not only saturates the air with moisture, but also cleans it of mechanical contaminants: dust, small fibers of fabric, wool, pollen and even particles of smog and tobacco smoke.
