If the scanner finds any threats, it will offer to delete them or place them in “Quarantine”. Quarantined threats are not deleted forever; they will be in a special protected storage (“locked up”), from where, if anything happens, you can restore them (if you realize that the file was mistakenly identified as a virus) or permanently delete them.
