The Witcher 3 hearts of stone how to corral pigs. Stone hearts

The quest appears automatically in your quest log

Step 1: Check the notice board at the Seven Cats Tavern

Head to the tavern, it is located near Novigrad.

It is located in the Garin estate, north-east of.

At the estate you will be greeted with “funny” jokes and taken to Olgerd, you need to discuss the details of the order with him. When you are leaving, a girl will come up to you and give you additional task « Rose on a red field"

Stage 3: Oxenfurt canals

Your next adventure will be the city's canals. You can get into the canals by going down into the well, which is located west of the Novigrad Gate.

Step 4: Search the channels

Once down, use your Witcher Senses to find traces.

The tracks will lead you to an old friend of Geralt - she will tell you what is happening and tell you about the monster. After the conversation you need to find key to the lower channel grate , you can find it by searching the corpse of a soldier in the corner.

Stage 5: Lower Level

Using your witcher senses, carefully inspect the lower level of the channels.
The search will lead you to the corpse of one of the people accompanying Shani. After examining the body, Geralt smells the monster, follow it. The trail will lead you to a dead end, to move further you need to find a workaround (it’s easy to find, the passage will be behind an open grate), you will find yourself in a lair.

Stage 6: Lair

In the lair, using bait, Geralt will lure the monster into battle.

The fight with him is very difficult. Although he is slow and practically does not move, his attacks are very fast and powerful. The "Quen" sign, "Igni" and the "Dancing Star" and "North Wind" bombs will help in battle.

Stage 7: unexpected meeting

After defeating the monster, Geralt will fall from severe poisoning and wake up as a prisoner on the ship. You are considered the murderer of the Ophir prince and are being taken to execution.
Geralt's acquaintance will help you escape. After a sudden storm, the ship breaks up and Geralt finds himself on the shore. There you will have to fight a squad of warriors.

Stage 8: Ophir Mage

The squad will have an Ophir magician, a very strong enemy, who is guarded by several soldiers with pikes and shields.

Using Quen you can avoid damage from the magician while you deal with the others. With the North Wind bomb you can freeze the magician (it’s difficult to do this since he throws bombs away) and hit him with powerful attacks. Don't stand in one place and don't let yourself be surrounded.

Stage 9: meeting with Mr. Mirror

At midnight, head to the willow crossroads (Yantra Village)

After talking with O'Dim, you need to go to Olgerd.

Stage 10: Debtors Conversation

When you arrive at the estate, it will already be in flames, and Olgerd’s people will carry out the execution.

If you stop the execution, you will have to fight Olgerd. During the battle, use Quen and Aard, and everyone's favorite rolls and dodges. He will constantly teleport behind you, so keep blocking. After defeating him, there will be a dialogue. After the dialogue, the quests “And I was there, I drank honey and beer”, “Sesame, open!” will open.

Reward: 650 XP and 450 crowns

And I was there, drinking mead beer

From a conversation with her, you will learn what happened to Shani over all these years and where to look for the tomb of the Everek family.

Stage 2: Tomb of the Evereks

The tomb is located in the eastern part of the map from. Shani will be waiting for you there, she will give you censer(quest item). After the dialogue you need to go down to the crypt.

Level 33 (difficult opponents) will be waiting for you there and there are quite a lot of them, the Yrden sign will come in handy here, the main thing is not to let yourself be surrounded. After you kill all the ghosts, examine the place using your Witcher Senses and find Brother Olgerd.

Stage 3: perfume

Now you will need the censer that was given to you, with its help you need to walk through the crypt and fumigate it. After this, you need to light the lamp; it is located in the very center of the room where you fought with the ghosts.

After the ritual is completed, all members of the Everek family will come out to you, they will be hostile against you. They will have to be defeated in battle, even though they are ghosts, but they are much easier to kill. Afterwards, Witold, Olgerd’s brother, whom you were looking for, will come out to you. After Witold finds out that Geralt is here to cheer him up, he possesses the witcher.

Stage 4: wedding

Now throughout the entire task you will be accompanied by the spirit of Witold. To amuse the spirit, Shani offers to accompany her to the wedding. Head to the designated location in Bronovitsy Village. There, you and Shani will need to take part in the wedding fun before midnight.

One of these fun will be "drive the pigs into the barn"(the Aksiy sign will help you do this quickly), after participating, Shani will offer you a bet and because of it you will have to fight with the peasants with sticks (signs cannot be used). The next fun will be - "Catch the Shoe". Shani will throw her shoe into the lake and you need to find it, this is not easy because there are many other shoes in the lake. After this, Witold will want to dance. After the dance, talk to the Mirror Man. Then continue to participate in the fun. Another fun thing will be "The Search for the Fire Eater". To do this, follow the tracks of the runaway dog, they will lead you to the tree where the magician sits. On your way back to the village, you will be attacked by a boar. Protect the fire eater from him. And the last fun will be playing gwent(if you lose you will be forced to put on funny ears and give away 5% of your gold).

At midnight, head to the barn for the wedding ceremony. After this, Witold's spirit will disappear.

Step 5: Report to Olgerd

Reward: 1065 XP , exercise:

Sesame, open up!

You will receive the quest automatically after completing the quest.

Stage 1: go to the Borsodi auction house

Stage 1: go to the von Evereck residence

When you fulfill two wishes, he will make a third - bring a purple rose. You will begin your search from the von Everek estate, which is located south of the village of Bronovitsy.

The gate to the residence will be locked. The passage will be to the left of the main gate.

Stage 2: Watchman

In the passage you will meet a thief who has lost his partner, Geralt promises to help find him. Once in the estate's courtyard, use your Witcher Senses to find a purple rose, examining the area you will find nothing, but the traces of the missing thief will lead you to the back of the garden. There you will find a dead thief and the residence's guard, the Keykeeper.

This is a very difficult opponent. All his hits on you will restore his health; his fighting principle is based on a series of circular blows and two powerful ones after which he cannot move. The battle with him takes place in two stages: the first - you leave him half of his health, the Keykeeper calls on the spirits from which he will restore his health (beating him at this time is useless; better deal with the spirits - destroy them) and the second - you leave him a quarter of his health, after which he again summons spirits, try to prevent him from replenishing his health, when the summoning ends, he can already be killed (this time he will not summon anyone). For the battle, stock up on food and potions, the Yrden sign will also help in battle, for some reason the monster is immediately distracted by its activation, you can use this to your advantage.

Stage 3: von Everek estate

When you finally defeat the Keyholder, a black dog and a black cat will come out to you, they are some kind of guardian spirits of this house. According to them, the rose can be found with the mistress of the house and Olgerd’s wife, Iris. Go up to the second floor of the estate and find Iris. On the ground floor there will be a table "Iris Sketchbook" (quest item). On the second floor, go through the balcony to another part of the house. There you will be attacked by the "Ghost in the Painting".

It will be much easier to fight him; the only difficulty will be caused by the portals that the ghost creates. It is better to close them as soon as possible (through them the ghost restores health). Having defeated the ghost, you will find yourself in Iris’s bedroom (on the left on the table you can pick up a portrait of Olgerd and Iris). The spirit of a dog and a cat will appear in the bedroom and they will tell you what happened to the owner. The owner must be buried in the garden in front of the house in order to summon her spirit and ask about the rose. Using your Witcher Senses, find appropriate place. Once you find it, bury Iris and say last words(do not affect anything), you can also put the album and portrait you found in her grave.

Stage 4: Another World

The spirit you summon will open a portal, passing through it Geralt will find himself in the painted world. Here you need to find the memories of Iris von Everek and restore them.

Memories in chronological order:
1. Iris and Olgerd in the gazebo - on the bench, take the artist’s palette - place it on the table; there will be a book on the railing of the gazebo - put it in Olgerd's hand. When you do this, bees will attack you, burn them with the Igni sign.
2. Iris and Olgerd near the fountain - you will find a glass on the fountain - put it in Iris’s hand. After the cutscene you will be attacked by ghost spiders (exit to open place, it’s easier to resist them there).
3. Dinner - light two candles on the table (near the people) and light the fireplace using the Igni sign. A ghost will attack you; after defeating it, go to the second floor.
4. Bedroom - the towel will be on the floor - place it near Olgerd.
5. Workshop -take the glass on the nightstand with a candle, you will find fruit behind Iris’s back. After that, interact with the counter near Olgerd: put the apple on the right, the grapes on the left, and the glass in the center. Next, go to Olgerd's office. A lot of ghosts will attack you in the corridor - don’t let yourself be surrounded.
6. Laboratory - take the candles from the table and arrange them in a circle in which the pictogram is inscribed. A fire will start, to get out of it, run into the picture, you will be transported to the courtyard of the estate. There will be a snowstorm there, quickly run through the open doors of the basement.
7. Basement - you will find the marriage contract on the floor in the center - give it to Iris’s father, the mug will be to the left of the barrel - give it to Olgerd. Climb to the top.
8. Gloomy Dinner - take a tray of food near the fireplace - give it to the Keykeeper, a large bowl opposite the table - place it near the dog, a small bowl you will find not far from the fireplace - place it near the cat.

Stage 5: Fear

After restoring all memories, take Olgerd's letter on the table, after reading it, it will appear "Iris's Greatest Fear".

You will be surrounded by 6 ghosts, they will attack I’ll go one at a time, don’t hurt the main thing other ghosts during the fight, then everyone will attack you. A sign will help in battle Aard (the sign does not apply to the latter), try not to move far from the enemy, if this happens, they will make a dash that can kill you.

Stage 6: flower

Having dealt with the ghosts, you will finally talk to Iris. You can take the rose from her.

He will be waiting for you in the tavern; he will tell you to bring Olgerd to the Lilvani sanctuary (northeast of the Steiger village)

Additionally: Olgerd's man will tell us that Shani was here and was looking for Geralt, go to her clinic. Shani will tell us about Professor Shezlock - he could help us learn more about Mr. Mirror. Go with Shani to the university. The guards will only let Shani through, but she will help you get to the university territory; to do this, go around the building from the shore, there will be several drowned people there; it won’t be difficult to kill them. After climbing the rope, go to the professor’s house; 5 witch hunters will stand on your way. Deal with the crossbowman first and the battle will be much easier. The professor's house will be locked, there will be a staircase opposite the door, go up it and use the Aard sign on the doors, you will find yourself inside. There will be a professor on the lowest floor, after talking with him you will learn the details of the agreement between Olgerd and O"Dima. After the end of the dialogue, leave the university, leave the house and climb the tower using the ladder and jump into the water.

Stage 2: Lilwani Shrine

In the sanctuary you will meet with Olgerd, giving him the rose and Gunther will appear. Here you can choose two options:

Option 1: you choose the side of "Dima". All you need to do is wait until everything is over, and then choose your reward.

Option 2: you decide to help Olgerd.

In order to save Olgerda, you need to win in a game invented by Mister Mirror.

You will be transported to a dark place and given a riddle - to find out who Gunther o' Dim is and find him (if you took the rose from Iris and talked to the professor, it will be easier to guess). This quest is for a while, so immediately run to the bridge that is located below (avoid fighting with ghosts, because of them you will lose a lot of time), then keep to the right side, when you hear the cry “Help”, go there there will be a destroyed bridge nearby, jump over it and run to the house.

Here you can find a drawing of the poisoned silver sword of the snake school. To find it you need to follow the left path after the bridge.

In the house down the corridor you will see a mirror, run towards it. The corridor will fall through (hold the jump button to reduce the damage after the fall). After you fall, look for the fountain (to the right of the fall) behind it, break the wall with Aard.

You have solved the riddle.

Reward: "Magnificent Carabella" sword with a unique effect

Geralt will treat both of them favorably and listen carefully to all their remarks.

The rune master himself is waiting for the witcher in the tent and greets him with the sad news that he lost all his supplies and tools during a shipwreck. It is impossible to get them from the bottom, and each element was made to order and requires exact repetition. The dialogue of the characters leads them to the fact that the witcher decides to invest his money in purchasing new materials, and in return the artisan will strengthen his weapon. This applies to both classic content and unique achievements, the number of which has also increased significantly, and therefore walkthrough of the game The Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone You will remember it for a long time, you can be sure of that!

Ladies and gentlemen, place your bets!

Both the book series by Andrzej Sapkowski and the game series by CD Project RED never hesitated to raise pressing social problems and ridicule the evils of society. In the Witcher universe, this is manifested both in the caricatures of some characters and in the scale of the struggle of different races for superiority over others. The developers did not miss the opportunity to mock such a human trait as greed, putting a very obvious message in one of the plot tasks of the addition “Hearts of Stone” - “ Sesame, open up!"How exactly did they do this? Let's find out!

Visit to the Borsodi auction house

Having completed the task "The First Sprouts of Evil", Geralt will have to fulfill the first two wishes of Olgerd von Everec, one of which required the witcher to obtain the house of Maximilian Borsodi. In the second, it was about making Olgerd’s younger brother, Witold, have a blast, but that’s a completely different story, which will also be told soon. Maximilian himself had long since died of old age, and no one knew about the location of the house. No one except his direct heir, Horst Borsodi, who runs an auction house in Oxenfurt. Head into town and find the entrance to this establishment. It is located in the main city square, right next to the descent into the canals, where quite recently a monster killer successfully hunted the Toad Prince. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to return there again - the well itself will be boarded up, and a warning on behalf of the Redanian army will hang on the pole, explaining such measures as an ongoing investigation into the disappearance of local women.

Coming closer to the auction house, Geralt will hear how one soldier in the colors of Redania will scold a certain Private Kleiner for his unkempt and inappropriate appearance. The witcher will ask the private if this is the Borsodi auction house, to which the stern man, who later turns out to be Corporal Vaclav, will respond with another lesson - “talking with civilians is prohibited”! Judging by the tone with which the soldiers address Geralt, the private soldier is not very eager to repay his debt to the state, but Vaclav takes his calling with complete seriousness. Almost immediately he will inquire about the purpose of the gray-haired man’s visit to the Borsodi auction house. Before giving an answer, Geralt can ask the soldiers why they guard the house and not fight on the front line? Vaclav will refer to the decree with particular importance, but Kleiner will not hide the fact that Horst Borsodi very profitably sells war spoils in exchange for the patronage and protection of Redania. Next you will be able to select two replicas:

  • Maybe we can come to an agreement somehow? But no, Vaclav does not want to negotiate with anyone - he was given an order to allow only auction participants with a personal invitation inside, and he is not going to show disobedience.
  • You better make an exception for me. However, threats will also have no effect on the brave corporal. Having said that he is not afraid to die for the glory of Redania, he, oddly enough, will sing the anthem of the northern kingdom. Considering the reaction of Private Kleiner, who ironically stated that Vaclav was not joking, we can conclude that Geralt is far from the first who tried to cover the corporal’s eyes with hard cash.

The Witcher will be greatly assisted by the banker Vimme "Wim" Vivaldi, who arrived just in time, and will tell the soldiers that Geralt is his companion, and if he is not allowed into the auction, he will personally complain to the sergeant. It seems that this will really frighten the corporal, and with a slight hesitation he will allow Geralt to pass. Vim may be remembered by players as a skilled gwent player, defeating whom could reward him with a neutral Vesemir card, as well as a lender and currency exchanger. It is also noteworthy that before patch 1.30 and the release of the GOTY edition of the game, the dwarf had a completely different character model. He was much younger, his face matched one of the basic presets for the dwarf race, and his clothes were more suitable for a hammer and anvil worker. It was probably precisely because of the desire to make Vivaldi’s image presentable and appropriate to the profession that he was aged, shaved and dressed up, not forgetting to create a unique face model.

First floor

Once inside the Borsodi auction house, Geralt can ask Vivaldi why he came to the event? He will not hide the fact that he came to Oxenfurt to buy several paintings, in particular, paintings by artists Van Dyck and Edward Van der Noob. Van Der Knoob; in Russian localization the surname sounds a little different, but we have a cultural site, right?). Vivaldi, however, is very far from art, as he himself admits, but they are quite suitable as “valuable assets”. It is likely that in addition to purchasing “assets,” Vivaldi is going to lend it to one of the auction participants. In a conversation with a banker, you can find out that the owner of the auction house, Horst Borsodi, is a terrible unsociable person and it will be difficult to talk to him, and also that the establishment’s move from Novigrad to Oxenfurt is associated with Radovid’s preferential tax, equal to zero. The auction itself is about to begin, and Vim will invite Geralt to go upstairs.

But don’t rush to do this, because there is something to see on the first floor. Lots exhibited at the auction house are often references to both the Witcher universe and the real world. For example, seven exhibits, some of which are particularly interesting. If you stand with your back to the stairs to the second floor, then in the left row you will find the following objects in order of distance:

  • Goblet of Fire. The exhibit is a direct reference to the book and film series" Harry Potter" by JK Rowling, repeating both the name and the form.
  • Zerrikan spears. Two crossed tips of a Zerrikan weapon.
  • Redaniensis. Almost nothing is known about this exhibit, except that it is one of the last surviving exhibits. However, given the similarity of the title of the chronicle to “Redania” and the special relationship of the Borsodi family with the ruler of this kingdom, it can be assumed that Redaniensis is the codex of Redania.
  • Two silver swords. Geralt will call them beautiful, but impractical - they will break from the first blow. And really, who else but a witcher can evaluate the quality of weapons made of silver?

In the center of the hall stands a stuffed unicorn. If you examine it closely, the witcher will decide that the stuffed animal used to belong to some sorceress. This is an obvious reference to the in-game joke about the stuffed unicorn on which Geralt of Rivia and the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg loved to “relax.”

In the right row you can see the following exhibits:

  • Huge skull. The witcher will think that this is the skull of a giant or a jotun. Jotuns are characters from Scandinavian mythology; very evil but simple-minded giants associated with many events northern legends and legends.
  • Cheese from the collection of the magician Aeramas. Before the events of the third game, the sorcerer no longer walked among the living - he was burned by witch hunters, and his property was sold off. One can only guess how Horst managed to get a circle of cheese from Aeramas's personal collection, because the players who managed to complete the secondary task " Cheese and dark forces“They know how well he guarded his main passion and treasure.

This is where all the interesting things on the first floor end and you can safely go up to the second floor and keep Wim Vivaldi company.

But not really. Traveling through the Velen lands northeast of Oxenfurt, the witcher could stumble upon parts of the Darkmoon outfit. Therefore, an auction visitor standing on the landing in the same outfit could not help but attract Geralt’s attention. Of course, we won’t be able to talk to him until a certain moment, but we’ll talk about it later. On the second floor, Vim will invite Geralt to talk to some of the bidders, namely Countess Mignolle, Gilbert and Jaromir. Alternatively, the witcher can wait on the bench, but this is not recommended - Horst Borsodi will still not come out to the public before the bidding begins.

Second floor

Approach Jaromir - the man who is looking at the paintings. Seeing Vivaldi, Jaromir ridicules the purpose of his presence at the auction, since he believes that Wim understands absolutely nothing about art. But he will be interested in the banker's companion - the witcher Geralt. Jaromir will invite the monster slayer to look at five works hanging on the wall and point to the work of the Maribor artist Van der Noob.

  • Choose an idyllic landscape. In fact, this is a painting by N. Bussin called Et in Kovir Ego.
  • Select a panorama of Novigrad. The landscape "Ship Leaving the Port" was painted by E. Bürner in 1220.
  • Select a portrait of a merchant. It was this painting, called “The Spice Merchant,” that came out of the brush of Edward Van der Noob.
  • Choose a still life. The painting has no title, but in any case it is not what we need - the author of the still life is J. de Varvari.
  • Select a battle painting."The Battle of Anghiari" was written by none other than V. da Linci - an obvious reference to the inventor, scientist and artist Leonardo da Vinci.

It is noteworthy that all of the above paintings can be hung in Corvo Bianco if the second story DLC "Blood and Wine" is installed and they were purchased from one of the Beauclair merchants. In any case, the choice is obvious - portrait of a merchant. Amazed by the witcher's knowledge, Jaromir will give Geralt advice: a painting by Van Rogh will be put up at auction, which costs almost nothing, but a bookseller from Novigrad is ready to pay well for it. After talking with Jaromir, Vim Vivaldi will approach Geralt and ask what Jaromir said to him? You can answer honestly what will affect the bidding process for the second lot at the auction, or you can lie and use this information for the benefit of your wallet.

Countess Mignolle

The next interesting "frame" is Countess Mignolle, collecting witches, that is, items related to the craft of monster hunters. She is especially proud of the shell of the Wolf School, which she will not agree to part with for any money. But with drawings of a complete set of armor from the Snake school, it’s easy. Please note that this is the only opportunity to obtain these drawings. After a short conversation between the Countess, Wim Vivaldi and Geralt, the lady will ask the latter to help find her earring, dropped on the balcony. Of course, there is no earring there, Countess Mignolle just needed to be left alone with the witcher. She will ask if Geralt knows the witcher with a lush mustache from the Wolf school - Vesemir. It goes without saying that Geralt knows his mentor very well. Then the Countess will ask how he is doing?

  • If It was passed main quest storyline "Battle of Kaer Morhen", Geralt will have to upset Madame Mignolle by declaring that Vesemir died as a true hero.
  • If this is a task was not passed, the Countess learns that Vesemir is now in Kaer Morhen.

Regardless of the current situation, Countess Mignolle will tell you where she got the previously mentioned armor and why it is so dear to her. Many years ago, a fleder started up in Oxenfurt, and then the young Vesemir arrived in the city to eliminate it. A spark flashed between Mignolle and Vesemir and they fell in love with each other, which the countess’s parents were very unhappy about. When the patriarch of the clan found the witcher in bed with his daughter, Vesemir had to flee, leaving his shell in Mignolle’s bedroom, and the girl herself was hastily married off.

Vivaldi's last acquaintance at the auction will be Gilbert, who has risen greatly due to his skills in playing gwent. He will greet the witcher with the exclamation “Nilfgaard, did I guess right?” We are, of course, talking about Geralt’s favorite deck. There will be an opportunity to respond by naming your real favorite deck or confirming Gilbert's words, after which the avid player will offer to play a game. Wim Vivaldi will take the witcher aside and ask him to give him 10% of the winning fund if he wins; "mediation fee", so to speak. In general, the answer is not important and depends only on the player’s honesty. Please note that you will have to play with exactly the deck that was indicated as your favorite. Agree and play with Gilbert, then if you win, the neutral card “Gunter O'Dim” will be added to the collection of cards.

Place your bets!

After talking with all three of Vivaldi's acquaintances or activating the bench, the long-awaited auction will begin. The first lot will be a figurine of Count Romilla, which is rumored to contain instructions to find the lost treasure of the infamous count. You will have to bargain for this item with Countess Mignolle; to win the auction you need to raise the bid to 300 crowns. “Why should I give away crowns acquired through back-breaking labor for some piece of stone?!”, you will be indignant. But the price will be more than repaid if the figurine is dismantled from one of the artisans, since it will indeed contain a note indicating the place with the count’s belongings. By the way, the name Romilla refers to the Roman emperor Flavius Romulus Augustus (lat. Flavius Romulus Augustus), which has earned a terrible reputation.

The second lot will be the painting “Night over Pontar” by Van Rogh. This is exactly the painting that Jaromir recommended to buy, and you won’t have to bargain for it for long - the initial bid of 20 crowns is enough for this painting to fall into the possession of the witcher. What to do with it is a matter of taste. You can go to the bookseller in Novigrad and sell the painting to him, or hang it on one of the walls of Corvo Bianco's property if the DLC was installed" Blood and Wine"However, such a low price can only be achieved if Geralt does not tell the truth to Wim Vivaldi, otherwise the banker will be eager to buy it himself and the price will rise several times. It is also noteworthy that Van Rogh’s “Night over Pontar” is very similar to "Starry Night" by Van Gogh.

And the last item in line, but not the most interesting, is the Professor's glasses. Ralph Blunden, aka "The Professor", first appeared in the novel " Hour of Contempt", where he appeared before readers in the form of an experienced bandit and thug, hired by Rience to kill Geralt of Rivia. He could not cope with his task even with the help of accomplices and fell from the steel blade of a gray-haired witcher. But after the game was released The Witcher it became clear that he survived and continues his activities. His appearance from the doorway made fans of the book series scream that “he’s not a can-o-o-o-o-o,” but this did not stop Ralph from playing dirty tricks on Geralt and his friends... Exactly until the moment when, in attempts to escape from The witcher Professor did not end up in a cave infested with kikimoras and was not devoured by their queen. The glasses up for sale were his permanent and permanent accessory, for which he would have to pay 350 Novigrad crowns on the table.

Meeting with Horst Borsodi

Finally, at the end of the auction, the founder of this event, Horst Borsodi himself, will appear. And he will not be at all happy with the presence of such a degenerate as the witcher Geralt in his auction house. During the conversation, two choices can be made, but regardless of their choice and combination, the result will always be the same - Borsodi will call the guards and order them to kick Geralt out into the street, never letting him in again. The reason for such aggression will be the witcher’s question about Maximilian Borsodi's house, which according to Horst no one should have known about.

Two guards will lead Geralt to backyard and decide to crush the bones, knocking the crap out of the gray-haired man. A fist fight will begin between two opponents, which is complicated by the small size of the “arena”. On the other hand, you can turn this to your advantage by pushing your enemies into a corner and teaching them a lesson without much difficulty. Notably, one of the guards is shown as a guard at Passionflower, a brothel in Novigrad. Probably the developers thought that no one would notice... But we noticed, right?

A mysterious stranger

Having taken his weapon, Geralt was about to leave, but he was called out by a stranger hiding his face under the hood of his cape. Now let’s mentally return to the landing on which the man in the New Moon outfit stood and compare the appearance of these individuals. I think there is no need to explain that this is the same person, just in different roles. He will say that he knows about Maximilian Borsodi's house and how to get to it. He will not reveal more, offering to join forces and help each other. The man will advise the witcher to go to the herbalist, whose house is located near Oxenfurt, and ask if he has an extract from the blood pot? Albeit with distrust of the stranger, Geralt decides to go there and find out what’s the matter?

Upon arrival, it turns out that the herbalist big problems- his house is besieged by three Red Knights, who will have to be calmed by force. Two knights are armed with shields and one-handed swords, while the third skillfully wields a heavy two-handed hammer. It is recommended to be the first to incapacitate him, or to temporarily lure him over to your side with the help of the improved witcher sign Axii; Thanks to his position relative to his party members, the knight with a hammer will have time to kill at least one with a stab in the back, or distract the shield-bearers towards himself, forcing him to open himself up to Geralt’s steel blade for a strike. Having defeated this inglorious trinity, the witcher will be able to talk with the herbalist himself. He, having heard about the extract from the bloody tank, will open the hatch into the cellar and direct Geralt there.

That mysterious stranger will already be waiting for the witcher in the basement. He will finally tell you what he is up to and why he needs the witcher’s help. Once the Borsodi family robbed him and left him with nothing, and now the stranger wants to regain what is rightfully his. To do this, he assembles a team of skilled craftsmen business, whose help will be very useful.

The stranger will call four people, which, in his opinion, would be perfect for the brewing business.

  • Hugo Hoff, despite his short stature, he is capable of stealing anything from anywhere.
  • Evelina Gallo. An acrobat nicknamed "Sweetheart", whose troupe's movement patterns correspond to the places where the largest thefts have recently occurred.
  • Casimir Bassi- a real explosives expert who would have enough knowledge to blow up even an entire city like Novigrad.
  • Bugbear Quinto, who, unfortunately, was caught in his last attempt at stealing.

The stranger will ask the witcher to assemble a team, choosing only one of the pairs Hoff/Gallo and Bassi/Quinto - after all, it will be much easier to pull off the theft with a small group. If you look closely at the board with posters of potential colleagues hanging on it, you will notice a fifth poster crossed out with a crisscross in red paint. Although the face of the person drawn on this poster is not visible because of the “cross”, elements of clothing and a characteristic hairstyle give away Geralt’s old friend and love interest, Triss Merigold. It seems that the stranger wanted to enlist her help, but did not have time to recruit Triss before she sailed to Kovir.

Demoman: Casimir Bassi

Casimir Bassi worked for many years in a quarry, where he gained knowledge about explosives and learned to handle them skillfully. But after he married the dwarf Efimiya, Casimir decided to retire and settle in the village of Alness. Finding him there will not be difficult, just follow the furious cries of a tipsy dwarf sitting on the roof of his house and threatening to blow himself up. Bassi found out that his wife had been cheating on him for three years with the postmaster, and a couple of days ago she took the children and left with him. Geralt will have to persuade Casimir to get down:

  • I'm really sorry. Do you know what the last thing a drunken, angry dwarf needs is? The pity of a rogue, in which, in the opinion of the same drunken, angry dwarf, there is not a grain of honesty and sincerity. Not wanting to continue the conversation, Kazimir will make a “boom”, and for obvious reasons it will not be possible to recruit him.
  • Put down the torch and let's talk calmly. Geralt will invite Bassi to come down, to which he will begin to pour out his soul to the witcher. In the further continuation of the dialogue, you should not begin to feel sorry for him, for the reasons previously described. Instead, it is better to say that Kazimir is not suitable for such work, and continue to pursue your line in this direction. The explosives expert will be outraged by this, he will get off the roof and try to teach Geralt a lesson for such words, but he will only be armed with a torch, and the witcher is allowed to take the hilt of a steel sword.
  • Looks like you really should explode. Casimir will not like this tone and behavior of the witcher. Continue the dialogue in this direction, then Bassi will go down and the segment with the fight with torches and swords will repeat.
  • Get down. The replica will bear fruit only if the witcher’s sign Axii has been upgraded to at least the second level. Casimir will succumb to suggestion and calmly descend.

If Kazimir can be dissuaded from committing suicide with a spectacular fireworks display, he can be offered a job. Before directing him to the herbalist and telling him the secret password, carefully consider your choice, since the dwarf's methods are quite... Loud, which can do a disservice during a quiet and inconspicuous robbery. Also, recruiting Casimir automatically blocks the ability to recruit Quinto. By the way, while still sitting on the roof, Kazimir can utter the phrase "no one can resist our (dwarf) women!". These words refer to the idea described in the books among the dwarves that the fair sex of their race are incredibly beautiful, and are strongly attracted to men of other races. The truth is that the love of a man and a dwarven woman is a huge rarity and even a perversion; Anatomically, dwarves are almost no different from men, not to mention the fact that both women and men grow thick and lush beards.

Bugbear: Quinto

If the robbery is planned to be carried out quietly or it was not possible to calm Casimir, go to the mercenary camp located not far from the herbalist’s house. A gang of Hans from Tsidaris settled there, and the main attraction of this small square is a cage with Quinto locked inside. The mercenaries will not attack the witcher as soon as they see him, but they will not allow him to talk calmly with the prisoner. Hans will hasten to interfere with the communication between Geralt and Quinto, and then he will have to talk with a native of Tsidaris. Having asked why Quinto needs them so much, the witcher learns that the clever bugbear stole one very expensive item from a man who was willing to pay dearly for the thief’s delivery. Geralt will offer Hans to pay for the release of Quinto, for which he will ask for 200 crowns.

  • Let's agree. If the witcher does not have the required amount or is a rare miser, it is possible to persuade Hans to slightly lower his demands.
  • I agree, I'll pay. Geralt agrees, Geralt pays 200 crowns.
  • Or maybe in gwent? Hans will not refuse to exchange words with the witcher card game Gwent. The main thing here, of course, is to win.
  • You're acting like an old trader. Hans from Tsidaris will decide to beat out an apology for such words with his fists. A fist fight will ensue, advice for which has already been repeatedly given in previous guides.

One way or another, Quinto will be so happy to be freed that he won’t even wait to open the cage. Why, if he himself had already opened it with a fish bone two days ago, and was waiting for the right moment to escape? Talk to him and send him to the herbalist.

Hugo Hoff

The fast and agile lowling lives in Oxenfurt, which is where you should head. Having found his house, the witcher himself will not find Hoffa... Unlike the bloody stain left by someone on the balcony support. On the ground, using his witcher's senses, Geralt will see traces of the small feet of the underling. Follow these tracks, they will lead the witcher to the bloody boat from which three thugs jumped out a minute ago. It will not be difficult for an experienced witcher to defeat them - just follow the strategy described for the case of the Red Knights. From the body of one of the robbers you can take a letter in which an unknown person demands that Hoffa be taught wisdom, as well as Hoffa’s left ear. Unfortunately, Geralt was late - the bandits sent Hugo Hoff to feed the fish... It's good that there is still Evelina!

Evelina Gallo

To find Evelina, you will have to go to the circus performers’ camp, which they set up near Karsten. Geralt will find the charming elf acrobat talking with a friend. Having briefly outlined the essence of his arrival, the witcher will not hear a positive answer, because the elf troupe has enough problems of its own. Most big problem At the moment, it is impossible to carry out the main number of the performance - shooting at apples from Hawkeye Vann - since Vann, having drunk too much fusel, completely lost his sight. This is where Evelina offers Geralt to act in place of the blind man, and the witcher can take two possible paths:

  • Okay, have it your way. I will perform with you. Geralt agrees to help Evelina.
  • Or maybe I'll pay to return the tickets? In this case, Geralt will have to pay 400 Novigrad crowns, but Evelina will immediately agree.

Witcher Seasonings

The last step before the start of the “operation” will be thinning out the patrols. The first step is to prepare a cleansing mixture, the main components of which are dwarf alcohol, foulbrood blood and wolfsbane. All ingredients can be purchased from the same herbalist near Oxenfurt, or obtained naturally: dwarf alcohol can often be found in chests and various game “containers”, or it can be created from one empty bottle, two portions of Mahakam alcohol and needle myrtle petals; Foulbrood blood has a 50% chance of appearing as loot from a killed Foulbrood. These monsters are found in places where major battles have recently taken place, for example, in the village of Todor or on the battlefields of the White Garden and Velen; Wolfweed grows in common grassy areas and finding this plant may not be easy, but you can do it, I believe in you. This mixture is prepared directly in the alchemy section.

Now we need to find someone who can add this seasoning to the food of the Redanian soldiers. We are talking, of course, about the cook, but where to look for him? Return to the Borsodi Auction House, but don't get too close. There will be a new outfit of guards at the entrance; listen to their dialogue from a safe distance, using your witcher’s senses. It will not be possible to find out the location of the military chef from their conversation, but it will be possible to find out that Corporal Vaclav, who did not allow the witcher to be auctioned, was so eager to defend his state that he bribed the commission without passing the psyche test. Go around the house and eavesdrop on the conversation of two more soldiers through the window. Alas, another mistake - the Redanians are discussing why you should not be a member of the Borsodi family, but not a word about the cook. The third patrol is standing by the road near the embankment, but as soon as Geralt approaches them, they will begin to circle around. Don't forget that if you get too close, the guards will stop talking, so try to keep the optimal distance. They will show the witcher where to look for the cook - due to problems with the supply of provisions, he personally fishes at the Western Gate to the city.

Maartan, which is the cook’s name, will sit on the pier all day and fish, but at night you won’t be able to catch him there. Start a conversation with him and hint that the soldiers' dinner should contain a cleansing potion. It will not cause any harm other than frequent urges to go to the medieval restroom, and Maartan himself will be able to justify himself with stale fish. The cook will not want to take such a risk. At least for free, as the witcher will clearly hint at. A choice of two replicas will appear:

  • Okay, I'll pay. Geralt will not go to any lengths and agree to pay Maartan for his troubles. In this case, you will have to pay 500 Novigrad crowns. If the witcher does not have that kind of money, he can say that he will think it over and return soon.
  • You will help me selflessly. If the witcher's sign Aksiy is pumped to the second level or higher, it will be possible to “bewitch” the cook and convince him that he is ready to help unselfishly.

One way or another, the cook agrees to help Geralt. Give him the cleansing potion and be sure that on the night of the robbery there will be at least half as many extra eyes.

The Great Oxenfurt Heist

Return to the herbalist's house. In the basement, Geralt’s team will already be waiting for him, and the stranger, who never introduces himself, will briefly outline the essence of the plan: Evelina will climb into the attic from the street, throw a rope to the other participants in the robbery, along which they will climb up. There will be no one in the auction house, so there will be no need to shed blood. The team calmly goes down to the vault, the door to which will be hacked if Geralt recruited Quinto, or blown up if Casimir Bassi is chosen. The stranger will take what he needs, the witcher will seize the house of Maximilian Borsodi, and the rest of the participants will fill their pockets with everything they want.

The first part of the plan, namely the penetration into the attic, will take place without incident, in a well-staged cut-scene. In order not to show off their memorable faces, the four will put on theatrical masks. It is noteworthy that Geralt will give preference to the mask of the late King Foltest, with whom he was on warm terms, and after the death of the ruler of Temeria, taken at the hands of the witcher-assassin Leto of Guleta, he personally tracked down the killer during the course of the game's plot The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. In addition, in case of trouble, the witcher will give each of his accomplices a wooden sword, which will confuse the stranger who decided to leave his real sword.

In the attic you can find one interesting letter that sheds light on the bad attitude of Olgerd von Evereck towards the Borsodi couple and the contemptuous tone with which he spoke about them. In the love letter lying on the box, the story of Olgerd’s relationship with his beloved Iris is revealed in a little more detail; about how Iris, after drinking a bottle of wine with Olgerd, drew the house of her dreams on the dusty floor of the Oxenfurt Alchemy tavern; about how good Olgerd felt next to his future wife. But when Iris’s parents wanted to marry their daughter to the Ophir prince and protect her from von Everek, the Borsodi took advantage of the weakness of the young nobleman and confiscated all his property, which greatly embittered him.

Going down, Geralt will discover that the stranger was wrong about the fact that there would be no one in the auction house. Three men calmly discussing their affairs will notice the brave quartet and call security. Of the four guards who came running, it is enough to disable only two. This is complicated by the fact that wooden sword does very little damage, but you can rely on your comrades who will hit opponents in the back and inflict additional damage, or you can try to attack those distracted by other members of the gang of guards. After defeating two of them, Horst will run out at the noise and immediately take to his heels. Geralt will run after him, scattering Borsodi's guards, but still won't make it in time - Horst will barricade himself in the vault.

Returning to his comrades, the witcher will see one of the men ring the bell, alerting nearby patrols of the alarm. The stranger will not stand on ceremony with him and will kill him on the spot, taking the neutralized guards and ordinary visitors hostage. During this time, a detachment of Redanian soldiers will line up on the street, ready to take the auction house by storm, but in no hurry to do this because of the hostages. Evelina will decide that the game is not worth the candle and will escape through the chimney. The stranger will tell Geralt to buy them time while the door to the vault opens. There are two ways to answer:

  • Move away from the auction house. Geralt heeds the stranger’s request and begins negotiations. In a conversation with a negotiator, it is very important to choose only those remarks that will not arouse suspicion in the Redanian or the idea that the witcher is demanding the impossible. Please note that this path only makes sense if Quinto has been recruited to the team, since the explosion caused by Casimir will cause one of the walls to collapse and three guards will burst into the house. In other words, negotiations are ineffective.
  • I will not shield myself from innocent people. Geralt will not listen to the stranger and will tell him that the hostages need to be released. The negotiator will approve of the witcher’s action, noting that during the trial this will be regarded as a mitigating factor. After this, three guards will enter the house through the front door and a short and fairly easy battle will begin, in which victory can be won even at the expense of just a stranger.

The outcome will always be the same - the stranger will tell Geralt that the door to the vault should already be open and offer to go downstairs. So do it.

Once in the basement, do not go straight to the storage room, but look around desks. At the very entrance, there is a list of items for restoration, which mentions a couple of interesting exhibits for fans of the Witcher universe:

  • Elven porphyry statue of Elirena. An elf named Aelirenn is first mentioned in the novel " Blood of the Elves", in a conversation between the witcher Geralt and ten-year-old Ciri in the ruins of the elven palace of Shaerrawedd. Geralt, looking at the marble bas-relief depicting her face, tells his “destination” that Aelirenn was once the leader of the Scoia "taels, leading them to war against people - oppressors. Unfortunately, she was caught by the same oppressors and executed, but even two hundred years later she remains for the “squirrels” a symbol of the struggle for their place in the world. It is likely that the statue was sculpted by one of the elven sculptors who revere her feat.
  • A cherry wood pipe that belonged to Nina Fioravanti. In the literary Witcher Saga there is only a small mention of Nina Fioravanti, but this in no way diminishes her merits in the study of anti-magic fields, one of which for a long time defended the Garstang fortress on the island of Thanedd. The lifting of this blockade led to terrible consequences, called the "Tanedd revolt of the sorcerers."
  • Painting by Van Rogh."What interesting things could be in the picture?" - you ask. I won’t argue that there is nothing interesting in it, unlike the notes on this subject. Remember the painting “Night over the Pontar”, which could be bought at auction? So know that if Geralt managed to win the auction and add this painting to his collection, then he became the owner of one of the works of Iris von Evereck, Olgerd’s beloved, who exhibits her work under the pseudonym “Van Rogh.”

To the right of the stairs leading to the storage room, you can find a letter from Master Matei lying on the table. Matei predicted the fate of Horst Borsodi on the cards, in which he saw “a wolf that appeared at the door,” but was not allowed inside by the owner of the auction house. However, the wolf will still find a way to get inside, “will enter the house and take it away.” Matei also saw “blood drinking blood,” whatever that means. It is likely that we are talking about the “White Wolf” - Geralt of Rivia!.. Or not?

After passing through one room of the treasury, Geralt, the stranger and Quinto/Casimir will come face to face with Horst, hiding behind two bodyguards. It is noteworthy that Borsodi’s guards will wear the colors not of Redania, but of Kaedwen, which once again hints at Horst’s duplicity. Well, or the mistake of the designers who lost sight of this point. Finally, the witcher finds out who this stranger is? It turns out that he had reasons not to give his name, because he is Ewald Borsodi, Horst’s brother. From Ewald’s words, it will become clear that many years ago Horst threw his brother out into the street, forcing his father to cross him out of his will. Horst will try to justify his action by saying that Ewald spent all his money on women and booze, which his older brother could not allow. Ewald will want to take payment for the years of wandering with the blood of Horst, but he will invite Ewald’s comrades to go over to Horst’s side and help him, and not the avenger hero.

  • A tempting offer, Horst. I accept it. The Witcher will allow his “commercial streak” to prevail over his loyalty and take Horst’s side. Quinto will also accept Borsodi Sr.'s offer, if he was recruited to the team.
  • You won't bribe me. I'm staying with Ewald. Geralt will refuse the offer, preferring to remain on the side of his younger brother. If demolitionist Casimir Bassi was taken into the team instead of Quinto, he, once again strengthening the opinion of the loyalty of the dwarves, will also refuse to help Horst Borsodi.
  • I have no desire to get involved in your dark affairs. Although the witcher will say that he is not interested in family squabbles, Evald will answer that they have gone too far to turn back. Geralt will still have to choose between Horst and Ewald.

Depending on Geralt's choice, he will have to fight either against Ewald and possibly Casimir, or against Horst and his guards, who can be joined by Quinto. Remember that in battle, Geralt’s main target should be one of his brothers; other opponents can be ignored or, using the Axii sign, forced to help in battle. It would be best to attack Ewald or Horst at the end of the conversation, use the Yrden witcher trap sign, which will slow down the oncoming supporters of the younger or older brother, and unleash a flurry of blows from the steel blade on the heir to the property, Maximilian Borsodi. The Quen sign, which protects the witcher from possible blows, and the Igni sign, which can cause fire in the enemy, also wouldn’t hurt.

After the victory, a video will begin, in which one of the brothers will triumphantly rise above his blood relative. If Geralt supports Ewald, he will want Horst to experience first-hand what life in the sewers and the constant struggle for life mean. And everything would be fine, but Horst will ask you to give him something for the journey. This will infuriate Ewald and he will beat Horst with a golden goblet, finally driving the luxury item down the throat of his arrogant brother. If the witcher sides with Horst, he will begin to mock younger brother, after which he will stab him in the heart with a dagger.

In the end, Geralt will ask for his help to give him the house of Maximilian Borsodi. It turns out that all of Olgerd’s “boars” will not fit in it, because the “house” is not a house at all, but a stylized box containing the dying will of the late patriarch of the family. None of the brothers will want to give the box kindly because of its contents, and the witcher will have to decide what to do next?

  • Stupid decision. However, whatever or Nothing is simpler. Since it didn’t work out amicably, you’ll have to achieve what you want by force. A battle will begin, as a result of which the last living representative of the house of Borsodi will fall from the witcher’s blade.
  • Maybe we can come to an agreement. Geralt will not want to fight and will irritably declare that he does not care what is inside - he only needs the box. After hesitating a little, one of the brothers agrees to the witcher’s terms, takes the will and gives away the empty “house”.

If the conflict was resolved peacefully, Borsodi will open a secret passage through which Geralt will get out. If not, then use your witcher senses to examine one of the stone columns. One of the protruding plates will attract the witcher’s attention, and by clicking on it, the gray-haired man will open a secret passage. Before leaving the treasury, examine the chests. For the most part, they will be filled with several crowns, gold jewelry and other items that can be sold profitably to merchants. However, in one of them there will be a drawing of a poisoned steel sword from the Snake School, which is strongly recommended to be picked up - it will not be possible to return to the storage room after leaving, and this is the only opportunity to acquire a drawing of a good sword.

Meeting with Olgerd

Olgierd von Everek and his gang of “boars” will be waiting for Geralt in the Oxenfurt Alchemy tavern. The chieftain will invite the witcher to go to the storeroom so that their conversation will not be heard by unnecessary ears. Having given the box, Geralt may stumble upon two reactions from Olgerd:

  • If Geralt chose force path and killed the last of the Borsodi family, Olgerd will be very happy about this and will praise the witcher.
  • If Geralt chose peaceful path and offered to give him only the box, Olgerd will not be happy about this at all, to which he will receive advice from the gray-haired man to be more careful with his wishes in the future.

Next, Geralt can ask Olgerd why he gave up these papers? Von Everek will tell the witcher that there was one condition in Maximilian’s will - if the brothers do not shake hands once a year, on Belleteyn, then all Borsodi’s property will be given to the needs of the hospital of St. Wilmerius. Olgerd will not hide the fact that he does not care about charity, and that this is only needed for revenge on the Borsodi family, who once kicked Olgerd out of his own home. Upon completion of the dialogue, the task will be completed.

I hope that completing the quest "Open Sesame!" from the game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be useful for you, dear readers. Enjoy the game and good luck on the Path, witchers and witchers!

Start of the main quest
Go to the notice board and a scene will play. Go to the chieftain's house. Talk to people. If you are rude, it will start a fist fight. After talking with the chieftain, leave the house.
In Oxenfurt, go down into the well. Kill the drowned man and examine the corpse of another one to the grate on the left.
After the conversation, break the wall on the right.
Jump down to the drowners (drive them away with fire and finish them off with weapons). After the battle, examine the corpse and the wall. Follow the trail and examine the place. Then head into the tunnel.
The boss is a huge toad
Use the protective sign and the trap sign, hit hard and roll constantly when the frog jumps or shoots poison.
Boss – Sand Mage
Jump back several times to make the boss get away from you, and undress with your retinue. Then use Mind Fog on the boss and hit him a few times. Constantly jump back or to the sides from sand attacks.
As you run along the shore, look for a hut with drowners and a treasure hunt sign - the place is definitely underground. Break the barrels in the hut and open the entrance to the basement. Take all the items from the corpse to start the quest, which you will leave for later.
In the ataman’s yard, you can stand up for the poor fellow who is about to be executed - choose tough answer options every time. An optional boss battle will start. If you are not rude, the poor fellow will be killed, but the quest will simply continue.
Boss – Olgerd
Use the defense sign and catch him with a counter-attack as he approaches. Use food to restore health in battle.

Side quest - Rose on a red field
Talk to the girl in the chieftain's house and go to the point (Bowdon). Follow the trail in the air.
Examine the cage, the traces by the window and read the note on the table on the right.
Leave the house and examine the footprints behind the house near the window. Run forward along the tracks, examining everything you can, such as a cluster of tracks near a bush and a fence, and also look at the corpse. A new trail leads back to the village. There, pay attention to the accumulation of footprints with horseshoes.
Go into the forest and destroy the soldier camp. Examine the cart - pick up the note. It must be read from the menu. Note that in the hut there is a chest with items that will be the start of another quest.
Head to the next area. If the opponents are too strong for you, then it is better to lure them to you one at a time. Some simply stay behind, and you catch enemies with a counter-attack, not forgetting to turn on Quen.
Inspect all the chests.
In a cave camp, whatever you choose will lead to a fight. Lure enemies into a room with gas and set it on fire fire sign. Catch especially “fat” opponents with counter-attacks. Then run to the bridge, using light attacks on the crossbowmen. It is better to destroy the latter in the intervals while the rest are getting out of the room with the gas. And so several times in a circle. Don't forget to activate Quen. Collect all the loot.
The reward will be waiting in the tavern in Oxenfurt.

Main quest - Dead Man's Party
Talk to Shani in the city and go to the crypt. Use a magic trap to defeat the ghosts. Examine the vase in the center and the inscriptions on the tombs. Use the left bumper to select the ceremonial bowl. Spread the scent throughout all rooms by simply moving around the location.
Use a trap and a sword to defeat the ghosts. After the conversation, go to the indicated location.
Talk to the newlyweds, choosing the top option right away; all the others will anger the groom.
Now you can play. For example, drive two pigs into a pen. Just run behind them - carefully, without stopping, towards the paddock.
Talk to the grandmother and the old man in the center of the courtyard. They are trying to find the magician and the dog. Go to the booth and examine it, the bone and the pan. Then look at the tracks. Follow them. At the tree, look at the branch on the ground. Pick up the hat from the ground a little further.
Talk to the artist and drive the dog away (you can influence the mind). Pay him 50 gold to return to the wedding, or influence his mind if you are leveled up enough.
You can dance in the hall, have a drink with the dwarves, and then go to the lake and take part in the game of finding shoes at the bottom of the lake. Collect all the boots using Witcher Vision.
Play Gwent with the gnomes on the street. If you lose, you will be given funny ears.
On the street you can also have a drink with girls near the house.
Talk to the others and go to the mirror master.
After all the talking, don't let Shani drink.
After the last scene, turn in the quest to Olgierd.

Main quest - Open Sesame
Talk to the guards and after the scene go up to the second floor.
Start a conversation with the woman and buy all the blueprints from her, especially the Viper set. Agree to help with the earring and look at the wine stains on the balcony. The video will start.
Talk to the man at the table and play gwent with him.
Now it’s the man’s turn at the painting. The correct answer is a portrait of a man in the center. For this, he will give you a hint on buying a painting. Don't give it away.
After the battle and conversation, run to the herbalist and save him from the soldiers.
Talk to the thief and go to the point.

Safecracker
Talk to the dwarf who wants to commit suicide. We need to make him angry. Select the item below - "you're pathetic." Or enchant, if you have enough abilities.

Breaking and entering
Talk to the elf. Agree to its terms. This is a very easy task. Shoot the apples. Be careful with the one on the elf's right leg.

Now create a potion at the very bottom of the alchemy menu.
Go into the city to the house and, standing away from the soldiers marked in red in the scent mode, listen to all the dialogues.
Go to the pier, rewind time to a day and talk to the cook. You can pay him 500 coins or enchant him if you have enough abilities.

To be continued…

Side quests in the Hearts of Stone add-on are not so numerous, or rather, there are very few of them. This is understandable, the whirlpool of events during the passage of the main plot draws you in, and you don’t want to be distracted from the most fascinating story. However, they still deserve our attention, because completing some will allow you to get some good things at your disposal, as well as improve your existing equipment. Therefore, let's see what side tasks this add-on offers us.

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

RACING: FAST AS THE WEST WIND

Let's start our consideration of side tasks, perhaps with the simplest. While walking around the village of Bronovitsy on the western shore of the lake the witcher will be called out by a man of clearly foreign appearance.

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

He will be an Ophir merchant who came to the Northern Lands to see the world and show himself off. During the conversation, the witcher will turn his attention to an excellent stallion that belonged to the merchant and offer to organize horse races. Horse racing is one of the favorite pastimes not only in the North, but also in distant Ophir. Therefore, there is no need to persuade the merchant. He will gladly agree to the competition. And this means: “Move, Roach!”

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

Roach will move until the victorious finish, for which he will receive new “clothes” for himself, namely "Ophir Nomad's Saddle" with energy 85 units. From the same merchant you can replenish our horse’s Ophir wardrobe blinders And saddle bags(100 kg).

However, life works in such a way that where you can win, you can also lose. And losing in horse racing is quite possible. But this shouldn't upset you. Although in case of defeat the task will be considered failed, you can approach the merchant again at any time and demand revenge. The failed task will again be active. And this can be repeated until victory.

SPELL: STARTING CAPITAL

Our roaches now wear new clothes, so why shouldn’t the witcher take care of his equipment? From the announcement at the Seven Cats tavern we know that he has arrived in the northern lands rune caster and he is located very close to the Ophir merchant-rider, in a tent.

It is not necessary to inspect the notice board for this task to be available for completion. Simply find the tent and contact the Ophir with bushy eyebrows, and the task will be activated.

So, during a conversation with the witcher, the Ophirian will tell about his craft and the misfortune that befell him on the way to the Northern Lands. All the tools with which he applies runes and glyphs ended up in the depths of the sea due to a shipwreck and there is no way to get them out of there. And new ones cost incredible money.

The story that you can enchant armor and weapons, thereby giving the equipment new properties, will interest Geralt. You can fork out money for this. To begin with, the rune master will need “just” 5000 CZK. But that's not all. The master will ask you to bring him an impressive size piece of jade. Only then can he begin his work. As soon as the money is in the hands of the Ophir, the task “Spell: Starting Capital” will be considered completed, and the next task related to the rune master will be immediately activated.

ENCHANTING: PAYING FOR QUALITY

The rune master is still provided with finances, but the lack of jade will not allow him to begin his craft. Geralt knows that north of Novigrad you can pick out this very jade.

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

But before you go looking for a stone, you need to acquire a mining tool. After all, a piece of jade will not just lie on the ground. For this we need Kylo, which the witcher requisitions from the local residents who live next to the mill.

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

Now all that remains is to find a piece of jade and bring it to the rune master. Of the places offered by the game, a piece of the appropriate size can be found in only one place. This place will be cave, which was chosen by arachnomorphs for housing. They will not allow the witcher to calmly search for jade, so pest control in the cave is simply necessary. After the sanitary procedure, we get to work: the jade will not end up in the witcher’s hands by itself.

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests As soon as the witcher has the jade stone, you can rush back to the rune master. He didn’t waste his time and had already managed to equip some kind of open-air laboratory with the witcher’s money.

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

The jade stone brought by the witcher will finally allow the rune master to do what he loves. He will thank Geralt for his help and task "Enchantment: Pay for Quality" this will end.

From now on, the Rune Master will be available as a universal artisan, from whom you can not only repair equipment and disassemble junk, but also craft weapons and armor. However, this is not the main advantage of the master. He can enchant any piece of equipment that has three slots for runes or glyphs. By the way, the rune master, of course, for a fee - and not a small one - can add slots to all items of equipment (armor, weapons), except for witcher equipment. He will also have new glyphs on sale (as well as drawings for their manufacture), which will be needed to enchant armor glyphic words. These glyphs can also be used as regular glyphs and placed in upgrade slots.

WITHOUT A TRACE

Arriving in the next village, the witcher never misses the opportunity to inspect the local notice board. And now, being in village of Bronovitsy, Geralt turned his attention to the advertisement for the search for a missing person. And since they offer a reward for the search, it would be a sin not to take advantage of this opportunity.

To talk with the customer, we go to the hut to the herbalist, which is near Oxenfurt. You may have already been there as part of the story mission of the “Open Sesame!” add-on. .

The herbalist will ask the witcher to find his apprentice Folkert, who went to Corpse Thicket for hemp fiber and still hasn't returned. It's worth looking for him there. However, this is not enough, we also need signs of the missing person, otherwise you never know. According to the herbalist, Folkert is short, like him, and even blonde. For such an experienced tracker as Geralt, this is enough to start searching.

The game will tell you that it is best to look for it near Erde village.

It seems that Folkert was attacked by someone, and he decided to take refuge in the village. And what’s strange is that immediately at the entrance to the village the tracks will end, as if the apprentice had gained wings. Therefore, you just need to look around here. The village will look completely abandoned, but the witcher will be lucky to meet a couple of inhabitants. This is a married couple of quite advanced age. Only they remained in the village to live out their lives, not wanting to leave their homes.

They will tell the witcher that they saw Folkert. He was attacked by wolves, so he decided to find shelter in the village. However, for some reason, he soon decided to go into the forest for herbs again, and never returned. Apparently, the second time fate was not so favorable to the underling, and he found his death from wolf fangs.

In principle, you can go to the herbalist right now to tell him about the fate of the apprentice, and receive as a reward 200 CZK, apparently, for your efforts, and finish this task.

However, something is wrong in this village. We should sniff around here. The first strangeness will appear in next door. There, the entire floor at the entrance will be covered in blood that is already several months old, and a bloody handprint will be clearly visible on the wall.

In the end, no matter what choice you make, it’s time to go to the customer. The apprentice is dead, so the herbalist has no reason to wait for him in vain. Of course, the lowlifes will want to know what the cause of Folkert's death was. Whether you tell him the original version about wolves or tell him the harsh truth is up to you.

If the version with wolves seems more appropriate to you, then we will receive a reward from the herbalist and you can go for a walk. This will complete the task.

If honesty does not allow you to lie, then the herbalist will ask whether you have brought justice to the murderers of Folkert. The news of the death of the cannibals will calm the herbalist’s soul, and he, thanking the witcher, will give him the full reward. But the customer will be dissatisfied with the pardon of the murderers. He will give us a reward and promise to find these human eaters and avenge Folkert.

CRY AND PAY

The witcher barely had money in his pockets (more 35000 CZK), when he was stopped by a stranger at the entrance to the market square in Ochsenfurt. He will introduce himself as a tax inspector and regretfully tell the witcher about his undeclared income.

The taxman will ask the witcher three questions:

    1. Was the witcher selling raw cow hides in the White Garden?

    2. Did the witcher buy sea shells and then resell pearls from these shells?

    3. Has the witcher ever had to break into someone else’s house and take something from there without permission?

Well, everything is clear with the third question, but what the first two are for is not entirely clear. However, those players who play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with earlier versions They will immediately understand the vile hint from the developers. There were times when in the White Garden, with a certain patience and endurance, it was possible to become indecently rich to such an extent that it would be enough for lifelong residence in the most elite brothel of Novigrad, “Passiflora”. Or make a fortune the size of the imperial treasury in Nilfgaard, just by buying sea shells from merchants for pennies, which could be dismantled from some artisan and sold to him for pearls at a much higher price. Later, this shop of “cunning” enrichment was closed down and such a hint task was filed.

Decide for yourself how to answer the questions; the inspector will take the witcher’s word for it. If the witcher confirms his illegal actions in at least two cases out of three, the tax officer will issue him an invoice for payment.

The tasks discussed above did not in any way affect the main plot of the add-on. But the following side quests can only be obtained by completing quests in the main storyline.

ROSE ON A RED FIELD

As you remember, as soon as the witcher received the task from Olgerd von Everec to kill the beast in the Oxenfurt canals and set out to carry it out, he was stopped at the threshold of the estate by a shocking mamzel named Adele(right in rhyme, damn it).

The village will greet the witcher with silence. Only a draft will creak the uncovered shutters in abandoned houses, and ghouls walking around the village like a boss will complete the gloomy picture. Well, the witcher has a short conversation with ghouls. Only corpse eaters would not just come to the village. They probably smelled the smell of rotting flesh. Therefore, we should take a closer look here.

Witcher sensebest friend and the assistant (along with Roach) will help the witcher this time too. However, instead of the sickening aroma of decaying carrion, the smell of some kind of reagents will hover throughout the village. The witcher's sensitive nose will lead him to one of the huts equipped for the production of fisstech.

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

Our guess turned out to be correct, Kluivert was in danger. Not surprisingly, drugs are a dangerous (and extremely harmful) business. And their production even more so.

But let's not be distracted from examining the hut. On the bed someone will be found near the window footprints. And since the man climbed out of the hut through the window, it means he was taken by surprise. Behind the house there will be more footprints that will lead the witcher to a body with a crossbow bolt sticking out of its back. Using signs, the witcher will determine the identity of the murdered person - Kluivert.

The marks will be deep, such as could be left by a man in heavy armor. Kluivert's killer, judging by the tracks, returned back to the village and rode on a horse to the hill to a lonely hut. Let's follow him too. On a hillock near the hut, the witcher will be lucky enough to meet five knights of the Order of the Flaming Rose, only if you have not been there earlier to wrest the Ophir blueprint from them on the mission “From Distant Ophir.” Having killed the knights or unhindered, we carefully inspect the area. Near the hut there will be a cart with equipment removed from the laboratory, and in the cart there will be an interesting a note.

So-so. So, behind all this fuss around the laboratory is Order of the Flaming Rose. It looks like the brothers have sunk to the very bottom since they started producing drugs.

From the note it is clear that the Order's laboratory is somewhere in the northwest of the village of Bronovitsy. This will be our next destination.

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

The Witcher 3. Addition "Hearts of Stone". Completing side quests

Of course, the entrance to the laboratory will be guarded, and the guards will not be in the mood for a peaceful conversation. There are three ways to enter the laboratory: firstly, simply kill gatekeepers, secondly, fuck off to them 1000 Novigrad crowns- money is the key to everything, thirdly, a sign Aksiy to help (you need Level 2 Deception). IN in this case It’s best to pay and get the “iron” 100 units of experience for it.

Ulrich, the one in charge of the knights will be peaceful, and will even answer the witcher’s question: “Why would the knights of the order suddenly engage in robbery and drug production?” But the leader’s revelations always end in the same way. He recognizes the witcher as the killer of the Master of the Order, Jacob from Aldersberg. Of course, after he was recognized, the witcher would not be released from the laboratory alive. We'll have to fight small room with as many as 8 opponents, two of whom are archers. The fight will be hot, and we will need something of mass destruction in it, for example, Igni or a bomb "Buckshot". As soon as the knights in the laboratory are killed, it’s time to go to Adele to the Alchemy tavern, which is in Oxenfurt. It is there that she will wait for news from us. On the way out, two guards will also say goodbye to their lives for the glory of the Eternal Flame (unless you cut them out earlier). From their corpses it will be possible to take all the money to the last crown that we paid for entrance to the laboratory.

Already in the tavern we will tell Adele about the death of Kluivert, about revenge for his death and we will receive a reward from her in the amount of 200 CZK. At this point the task will be considered completed.

CLEAR MIDNIGHT

Another task closely related to the passage of the main plot. It is activated immediately as soon as Gunther O'Dimm drives the spirit of Witold von Everek from the wedding of Aldona and Yavnut back to the crypt and advises the witcher to cheer up Shani, who is sad from unfulfilled expectations. Which of all this will Shani like most? The game will offer to read about Shani in the glossary, from where it will become clear what kind of gift the girl will be happy with. This rowan sprig. If you remember, at the very beginning of the wedding she immediately noticed a rowan tree in the yard, because once in her childhood she made beads from it.

Having chosen a gift, we go to look for Shani. Let me make a reservation right away: it is useless to approach her without a gift. The girl will sit in the barn where the main wedding celebrations take place, hanging her head. Her whole pose will scream about the melancholy in which the girl was.

Meanwhile, the rather tipsy musicians will become more and more out of tune, making conversation in the room impossible. Geralt will invite Shani to take a walk, to which the girl will happily agree, and our couple will go out into the yard for some fresh air. While walking, Geralt and Shani will remember the old days and their joint adventure in Vizima, talk about the newlyweds, about Shani herself and what happened at the wedding.

However, all this time the witcher will not get out of his head that kiss when the spirit of Witold kissed Shani. Geralt will want to compare sensations, and the lips of old acquaintances will close in a passionate kiss.

During a walk and after a kiss, choose in response any remark that you prefer. However, when Shani asks the witcher if they have time to be together, this is where you need to choose correctly. And the game will not let us think too long.

Selecting a replica "Let's go back", the chance to spend the evening with Shani will be lost. The disappointed girl will not want to stay at the wedding any longer and will decide to leave. But before leaving, Geralt will ask her to find out more about Olgerd von Everek, to which he will receive the girl’s consent. Shani and the witcher will go their separate ways and the task will end.

Replica "One kiss is not enough for me" will continue our evening in the company of the charming Shani. The Witcher decides to arrange a boat ride on the lake at night, but the pier has already taken a fancy to a kissing couple (you, of course, recognize the girl).

Shani will immediately find her, and if you brought her alcohol as a gift, she will decide to drink this wine. The game will offer us a choice: stop the girl or let her get drunk. If you gave her a branch of rowan or chamomile, then Shani will not drink.

In any case, Shani and Geralt will go on a romantic walk around the illuminated full moon night lake, which will end with an equally romantic love scene.

No matter how the night ends, Geralt will wake up at sunrise already on the shore. Shani will be awake by this time. After discussing what happened a little, Shani will want to put it all in her head alone and head home. But first, the witcher will ask her to find out more about Olgerd. Shani will happily agree and leave the witcher. At this point the task will be considered completed.

So, we looked at all the side quests in the Hearts of Stone add-on. Yes, they are few in number and not as exciting as in “ Wild Hunt", but doing them was not boring either. Moreover, some turned out to be very useful for the witcher, especially the rune master’s quests.

Well, it's time for me to say goodbye to this wonderful addition, which is definitely worth paying my hard-earned money for. I hope that you found the expansion guides useful and that you learned something new from them.

However, it is unlikely that they would have appeared in my authorship if dear Elle (for which I thank her very much!) had not entrusted me with such a responsible and serious work that only you, my beloved readers, can appreciate.

Thank you very much for the tips and clarifications for the task "Enchantment: payment for quality" -
