According to yogic ideas and scientific evidence from the Brain Institute existing in Moscow, a person consists of seven bodies of different vibration frequencies, different densities (degrees of materiality). These bodies seem to enter into each other and, due to the difference in vibration frequencies, exist in different planes of existence. These are the following bodies: the first body is physical, the second is ethereal, the third is astral (the body of desire), the fourth is mental (the body of thought), the fifth, the sixth and seventh bodies relate directly to our higher self. Existing titles energy bodies in any of the known traditions are purely conditional. It represents energy flows such as electronic waves from the cells and organs of the physical body. Beginning with the prenatal period of the human body and ending with his death, the etheric body is the builder and restorer of the physical body. A good etheric body eliminates illness and makes a person resilient and efficient. All subtle bodies take the energy of the etheric body.
Astral body (emotional body - emotions, feelings, desires) has a more subtle structure than the ethereal one. Consists of flows and vortices of subtle substance. It is transparent and painted in various colors. Can be visible and also recorded (photo). It protrudes several tens of centimeters from the physical body, surrounding it in the form of an aura. Mental body (thought body, intellect). It has an ovoid shape that permeates all bodies and forms a luminous aura. The dimensions of the mental body can reach several meters. Karmic body (casual, body of Causes). Contains the memory of all past lives. It is the master of the “I” (our ego), since it contains the causes of everything manifested in lower subtle bodies, all subconscious traces of past lives that determine our individual destiny are preserved. An important property of the karmic body is the control of all functions human body. All a person’s actions, his emotions, the experience of knowing Good and Evil, his every thought are stored in a karmic body, which is the experience of the incarnation of a person’s Soul, which manifests itself in the conditions of his current life on Earth. The intuitive body (buddhic body) is the area and part of a person that contains the Spiritual Mind, all selfless actions, love, compassion. It is completely devoid of any negative properties. The intuitive body gives a person inspiration. A person's intuition depends on the degree of development of this body. It knows both the past and the present.

Atmic body – Human spirit, divine body. The atmic body dissolves in the cosmic consciousness and carries it within itself. Thanks to the most subtle energy, it can penetrate everywhere and be interconnected with other worlds. (I believe that it is this body that allows us to be in dreams in the form of subtle matter, to interact with other dimensions and worlds).
We all have 7 bodies. Let's briefly remember (or relearn) each.
Many of us believe that the physical body is the whole person, but this is not so. PHYSICAL BODY– this is only the spacesuit of a true person, which consists of subtle bodies. Our eyes are designed to see only dense material objects. But if we begin to develop spiritually, then more advanced areas of the brain and vision of subtle objects will open. ESSENTIAL BODY is the matrix of the physical body, but in a subtle, spiritual-material form. If the organs of the etheric body are healthy, then automatically they are healthy in the dense body. And the etheric body will be healthy when the mental and astral bodies create healthy and clean organs in it through pure thoughts and good desires.

ASTRAL BODY– the body of our emotions, feelings and desires. And only when our feelings and desires are completely controlled by our highly spiritual bodies, then the need for the astral body will disappear.
The astral body is not developed person is a cloudy, vaguely defined mass of astral matter of a lower type, which is capable of responding to animal lusts. Its color is dull - brown, dull red and dirty green tones. Various passions appear in them like heavy waves; So, sexual passion causes a wave of cloudy carmine color. The astral body of a moderately developed person is larger in size and has a luminous appearance. And the manifestation of higher emotions evokes in him a beautiful play of colors. The astral body of a spiritually developed person consists of the finest particles of astral matter and is a beautiful sight in its radiance and color. Unprecedented shades appear in him under the influence of pure and noble thoughts. The rotation of the “wheels” indicates the activity of higher centers; the absence of coarse particles makes him unable to respond to the vibrations of low desires and they rush past without being attracted or touching him.
Mental or MENTAL BODY given to us in order to think about everything for living in eternity. The mental body has higher vibrations than the astral body, and when it is fully turned on, the astral body does not participate in joint work. The mental body is the expression of the Personality, but the Synthesis of the incarnation is preserved in the higher, immortal nature of man.
It develops by purifying thoughts and expanding consciousness.
In a highly developed person it is a beautiful spectacle of rapidly pulsating gentle and bright shades of light.
People engaged in mental and mental activity rarely immerse themselves in that atmosphere of feelings and desires that are so important for a person engaged in physical labor.

BODY OF BUDDHI is the most important thing. It summarizes the entire experience of our soul, which has accumulated over the entire history of our existence in eternity.
Only in the sphere of Spirit (Atma - Buddhi) there is complete Unity, which says that we are all one in origin, one in the way of our evolution and one in the common purpose of our existence. The only difference between us is that some started their journey earlier, and others later. Some walked faster, others slower.

According to ancient philosophy, the human body has mortal bodies (physical, etheric, astral) and immortal, or eternal, bodies (mental, subtle and others). After the biological death of a person, when the cells of his physical body are destroyed, the subtle body (or soul) separates from the former organism and flies into space.
The dense, material or physical body of a person
Let us list the 7 bodies that make up the cosmic essence of man and briefly outline their functions. Let's start from the inner "ball".
Let us recall that bodies are often called shells. Compared to other bodies of the body, this body is the most well studied (in biological, physiological, anatomical and other terms). It is mortal. In terms of energy, it is controlled by chakras through energy meridians (Chinese channels).
Chakras resonate with the energy of “their” planet and “their” zodiac sign. Therefore, during the transit of a planet or sign, the chakra can strengthen its function in the physical body. In addition, each chakra has its own specific function in the body.
Thus, through the Manipura chakra, the general management of the body’s bioenergy is carried out, the Muladhara chakra primarily distributes energy in the musculoskeletal system, and Vishuddha fills the endocrine glands with vital energy (influences, for example,
- for the development of the physical body,

The dense human body is conceived on Earth by parents, and therefore has hereditary or congenital characteristics (abnormalities that arose during childbirth).
What is the human etheric body
According to karmic teachings, the human etheric body is an almost exact copy of the physical body. He even has formations similar to the anatomical organs of the physical body. They are even located in the same way as the organs of the physical human body.
The etheric body is impregnated with ether, just as the physical body is impregnated with blood. It consists of the finest lines along which energy flows spread. If people had etheric vision, they would see a sparkling network of threads forming a cocoon through which a luminous stream of energy runs.
There is a close connection between the physical body and the etheric. The physical tissues of the body exist as long as they are supported by the field of vital energy of the ether.
The manifestation of negative karma of the casual body in the etheric is expressed in the form of turbulence and interweaving of the fibers of a person’s energy cocoon. It is clear that these turbulences affect the normal functioning of the physical body.
This in turn has consequences that manifest themselves physically. In fact, the human etheric body is an exact energetic copy of the physical one.
How is the human etheric body related to health?
All defects and diseases of the physical body are consequences of defects and distortions of the etheric body. However, there are cases when karma is manifested on the etheric plane, but not a single defect or disease is present on the physical plane. This can happen for two reasons:
Karma has not yet had time to move to the physical plane and is so far only in the casual and etheric bodies (perhaps it is also manifested on other planes, for example in the astral and mental bodies).
Karma cannot pass to the physical plane, since the cause of its formation is limited to the etheric plane and higher planes.
Vital energy The sun is absorbed by the etheric body, distributed along the nerves throughout the dense body. In nerves, energy plays the same role as electricity in wires, and gives the body an excess of strength and vigor. When sick, the energy level in the etheric body drops sharply.
A defect appears in the energy shell (holes), opposite which the function of the organ is disrupted. This is believed to arise because the pathology of energy supply leads to the development of metabolic pathology, a decrease in the resistance of the body, in particular the organ, to disease.
Therefore, if karma has not had time to move to the physical plane, you need to hurry to eliminate it. This is our chance to have time to correct it and prevent illnesses and other troubles associated with the physical body in the future.
Complex changes also occur in the body:
- decreased immunity,
- redistribution of blood in the body, etc.
In the case of paralysis, the life force of the etheric body does not flow through the paralyzed part of the body.
The energy exchange of prana in the etheric world of the Earth is carried out through the Svadhisthana chakra.
Interaction of the etheric body with other bodies
The etheric body is adjacent to the physical, completely repeating it and enveloping it in a protective “energy shell one and a half inches thick” (according to Charles Leadbeater). The dense body is built on the matrix of the etheric body and is its copy. The etheric body is the builder and restorer of the dense body, bioenergetics believes. The etheric and dense bodies are closely interconnected and are not separated from each other. Both bodies are mortal.
Eastern philosophy gives an interesting interpretation of their interaction through the relationships of principles. The etheric body has the opposite origin compared to the dense body. So, in a man, the physical body has a masculine principle - yang, and the ethereal - feminine, or yin.
For women it’s the opposite. These bodies have different energetic polarities. The fact that a woman gives vent to her emotions is due to this polarity of bodies: her etheric body is overflowing with positive force (yang) and contributes to the production of excess blood, which significantly increases the “internal pressure”, which would destroy the “physical mechanism” of the female body if it did not possess safety valves in the form of menstruation, tears, etc. Thus, tears relieve the pressure of fluids in the body, since they “are the essence of white bloodletting” (M.M. A man is able to suppress equally strong experiences without tears, since his negative (in relation to the dense) etheric body generates an amount of blood that he can control.
Astral body
The astral body consists of matter called the gravitational field of the Moon. This body has great fluidity and, depending on the emotional state, takes on the most unusual shapes and sizes. A body can move almost instantly within the Earth's stratosphere.
The astral body controls the body’s emotions and is closely connected with the physical body (mainly with the subcortical structures of the brain, where emotional centers are also located, as well as with the right, “emotional” hemisphere, with which the connection is closer than with the left, “logical”). Through the Manipura chakra, this body maintains contact with the energies and matter of the astral world of the Earth.
The connection of the past with the human astral body
The astral body of a person, the fabric of which is emotions, is a mirror in which the karmic distortions of the past are reflected. Those events that cause an emotional reaction in us undoubtedly have a connection with similar events of past experience in this or previous lives. It doesn’t matter what event we react to emotionally, reading about something in a book, seeing some scene in the theater, cinema or everyday life, the reaction is caused by similar situations that have already happened to us.
We are disturbed by certain music, the sight of a particular sculpture, painting or architectural structure causes a corresponding emotional reaction. These responses can often be a trigger for memories of the past.
However, due to blocking the memory of past lives, and in some cases, events of this life, we experience inexplicable experiences that seem to have nothing to do with us personally:
- incomprehensible sadness,
- joy,
- disappointment, etc.
The cosmic law works here - like attracts like. And if we have an emotional reaction to someone or something, it means that this someone or something reminds us of a long-forgotten experience of the past.
Human astral body. We bring from past lives old patterns of behavior, old masks that we never managed to get rid of, habits that were once indulged, rules that we once jealously followed, fanaticism and loyalty to false ideals, etc.
Now these qualities have become part of our personality, they have grown into us, turned into ourselves. A born child already has a personality with a set of all existing qualities, desires and aspirations. No matter how hard the parents try to make him a “person,” often these attempts are in vain.
Years later, parents wonder why their child did not become what they tried to make him out of, not understanding that his karma was written before birth, and he came to them not by chance, but according to their common karmic background.
Other human bodies
Human mental body
The mental body is energetic, eternal. It consists of the matter of the world of four dimensions of space and two dimensions of time. Determines the possibilities for the development of intelligence. This body is “given” to man by the Cosmos. Possible changes in a person are reflected in his “cosmic passport” - a horoscope.
Karmic body
has an ovoid shape. The body comes out as threads from the navel area (K. Castaneda. Guide to Magic). This body is also called causal, since it stores the reasons for its actions within itself and connects it with a person’s karmic program sent to him from above (P.D. Uspensky). This body has a connection with the physical body through the Vishuddha chakra and Chinese energy channels.
Intuitive human body
plays the role of a “teacher of teachers” for a person and embodies the sphere of supraconscious mechanisms of creativity
- source of discoveries,
- new qualities,
- inspiration,
- inexplicable (intuitive), but, as the future shows, correct decisions.
In this body there is a more pronounced intuitive-karmic plan than in the previous one, based on the past experience of the totality of human lives. The intuitive is connected with the physical body through Ajna.
Nirvana body
(although all the underlying energy bodies, compared to the physical body, also have a “fine” structure) completes our energy cocoon. It is built from the most complex and subtle gravitational field. Like all bodies, the subtle body has one-way connections with each of the other bodies located below it in turn.
Thus, the subtle body has a one-way connection with 6 bodies, the intuitive one with 5, etc. This body is also called “Cosmic consciousness” - it reflects not so much an unusual level of perception, but new level existence, when our “I” (Ego) merges with the Universe (M.M. Nekrasov).
When the function of this body is turned on, a person experiences a feeling of alienation from the world (meditation and other states). The chakra of the nirvana body is located in the heart (Anahata), therefore the heart is the connecting link between the physical body and the world of nirvana of the Cosmos.
What is a casual body
Karma in the form of so-called karmic formations is located in the casual body. The casual body is called the body of causes and effects. This is an information bank of memory of the past.
The causal body consists of all past experiences, its multidimensional patterns reflect the entire totality of events that have happened to us throughout the history of our existence. The best actions and thoughts associated with inner harmony, intentions manifested in outside world, glow with different light gamuts of divine light. All negative manifestations of the past are visible as gray or dark clumps - this is a negative experience called negative karma.
The casual body permeates the grosser bodies and has a direct influence on them. However, it's mutual. In fact, this connection mechanism holds the key to writing karma into the casual body.
The totality of past experience (karma of past lives) in coarser bodies is manifested in the character of a person, his personal characteristics, emotionality, energy, development or shortcomings of the physical body, etc.
As mentioned earlier, the casual body is the main repository of our karmic experience. It consists of “cells” in which karma is located. These memory “cells” often have the ability to directly include us in the causal layer of spatio-temporal events in the surrounding world. The process of multidimensional holographic reflection of the karma of the past onto the situation that has developed in the present reincarnation is activated.
For some reason incomprehensible to us (since we are ignorant of the karmic conditionality of events) we find ourselves in a certain place in certain time and we learn a lesson in a karmic situation. We have to pay for those mistakes in a past or this life when we consciously or unconsciously destroyed karma.
Fate, relationships with society, with loved ones, health and well-being - everything is predetermined by the totality of good and bad karma of our past.
The human soul is a multidimensional structure manifested on 7 levels of reality, varying in density and frequency. Each level of reality corresponds to one of the 7 human energy bodies.
The entire universe is structured similarly to this structure. And even in the long mystical tradition, the central element in the construction of the Universe was the cosmic soul, which existed forever in the world of ideas and primordial images.
1. Physical body
It is a tool of knowledge and action. With the help of this body we gain experience of earthly existence. In the occult and religious teachings It is believed that the disintegration of the physical body begins on the 3rd day after the actual death of a person. More precisely, on the 3rd day all connections between the subtle bodies and the physical shell are destroyed.

2. Etheric body
A subtle energy-information structure that reflects the state of all other bodies. For people with developed subtle channels, the ether is visible as a white haze around the human physical body. After physical death, the etheric body lives for another 9 days in connection with the Earth, after which it dissipates. Next, the human soul leaves our reality.
3. Emotional body
It is a feeling instrument. Desires arise in this body and, as a result of the processing of these desires by the higher “I,” emotions arise. On this plane are manifested. Energetically, the astral body manifests itself in the form of an aura and can have various colors and shades depending on the nature of the operation of energy centers. Presumably this body lives from 40 days to 1 year after physical death, after which the ordered information of this structure passes into the mental plane.
4. Mental body
In other words, a person’s intelligence or experience of the current incarnation. At the level of the mental body, the thought process occurs. The positive experience of this plane, after the end of earthly existence, moves in a structured manner to the level of the casual body.
5. Casual body
The causal body is the body of causes and effects. It is also called karmic. This is the intellect or consciousness of the soul. This body absorbs the ordered information of all incarnations, in other words, wisdom.
If a person lived an empty life and did not complete the tasks assigned to him, or his actions contradicted the laws of the Universe, which also indicates a lack of some understanding of the universe, these unresolved tasks are transferred to the next incarnation.
6. Buddhic body.
Soul memory or spiritual mind. Carries the experience of all incarnations of the soul. Here is what we call Conscience. Not by morality, but by Conscience. This is where our system of spiritual values and priorities is formed.
7. Monadic body.
The Monad is a hologram of the Creator, the essence of the soul. Atma is God in man.
The casual, buddhic and atmic bodies form the immortal part of the human soul. As a rule, direct access for our consciousness to these bodies is closed and it is opened only to those who have reached the necessary level of ethics and practice. Thus, some people remember their past lives, establish a connection with the “Universal Mind” and read information from the depths of outer space.
Aura –
it is a constantly changing system that is constantly evolving. Structural basis The aura is unchanged, but the aura itself continuously reacts to everything around it by changing its size, color, brightness and frequency of radiation.
First layer of aura – etheric body
Etheric body(the name is from the word “ether”, which denotes the state between energy and matter). It is permeated with the finest lines along which energy flows circulate. It is a copy of the physical body, exactly repeats its outline, extends beyond the body by 3-5 cm. It contains very important energy information formations - matrices of human physical organs, that is, stamps from which copying occurs on physical layer. These subtle structures are influenced by all other bodies, which will be described below. That is, information, distortions, pollution, damage to the remaining bodies of the aura are copied on the matrix of the etheric body. And as was said above, human physical organs are copies of these matrices, then no matter how much you correct the copies, they inevitably restore their state according to the matrix. That is why traditional medicine, no matter how it treats individual physical organs, often turns out to be ineffective or short-lived - the damaged matrix will inevitably return everything “to normal.”
On the other hand, adjusting the etheric body allows you to radically heal a diseased physical organ. This is exactly what many healers, healers and bioenergy therapists do. Correct influence on the energy body leads to healing of the physical body.
Moreover, since diseases arise first in the etheric body and then move to the physical, by working with the aura, you can prevent the occurrence of serious health problems.
After death, the etheric body dies on the 9th day.
Second subtle body –

This layer is no longer as clearly defined as the etheric body and it represents continuously shimmering colored clots of energy. The astral body is painted in all the colors of the rainbow. After death, a person’s astral body dies on the 40th day.
Third subtle body –
This body is connected with our thoughts and knowledge. It also contains clots of energies that reflect our ideas, beliefs and stable thoughts - thought forms. The mental body is represented as bright yellow color. The more clearly our thoughts and ideas are formulated, the brighter the clots of energy in the mental body.
After death, a person’s mental body dies on the 90th day.
All these three thin layers belong to our material world, therefore they die along with the person.
The fourth body of man – karmic
This body belongs to the immortal component of our soul. This body contains the reasons for all human actions and information about his possible future actions.
The karmic body is presented in the form of a cloud of multi-colored clots of subtle energy, protruding 20-30 cm beyond the physical body. They are dominated by light colors.
Fifth human body – intuitive
It is also called buddhic, sometimes compassionate.
Higher unconscious processes are concentrated in this body. It contains information about a person’s ideals, belief system, worldview, and values – material and spiritual. This layer is the matrix of our etheric body. It looks like a dark blue oval extending 50-60 cm beyond the physical body.
Sixth human body – heavenly body
It is also called celestial, it is the emotional aspect of the spiritual plane. This layer looks like a celestial body emitting light, like a candle emitting flame. Extends 60-80 cm beyond the physical body. At this level we get extraordinary feelings evoked through meditation.
Seventh body of man – ketheric
Keter (from the word “keter” - crown), it is also called atmic or divine.
Extends 80-100 cm beyond the physical body, in people with high energy it can reach large sizes(for Jesus it reached up to 1 km). The kether body looks like a golden egg that combines all the other human bodies. This body provides communication with the Higher Mind, receives from it necessary for a person information and transmits back the necessary information. The human life program is stored in this body. Our karmic body reads this program and compares it with a person’s real actions and thoughts.
We created the contents of all our subtle bodies ourselves throughout our lives, so we can also correct them, erasing everything negative and filling them with positive energies, on our own. The possibility of change is inherent initially in the person himself, but desire alone is not enough, knowledge is necessary.
